Ri-i-i-iight. The prosecution is just going to "hand over" incriminating physical evidence to the defense before trial. The defense would get what Moore has gotten - notification it exists, and not one bit more.

The fact there is no intent for trial makes waving such props all the more effective, doesn't it?

 

Please provide a link to any time irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind physical evidence was just handed over to the media or the accused, whether it be a criminal case, civil case, or just a public accusation of wrongdoing.

It is evidence. Some accusations are extremely insignificant versions of evidence (anonymous online trolls claiming to see instances of dog abuse) and some accusations are significantly stronger pieces of evidence (several named, on the record witnesses with verifiable associations to the accused and who have almost no financial or political reason to lie).

 

Evidence, yes.

Evidence worth more attention than I would afford the troll of a fly buzzing outside? No.
