Why should straight people be the only miserable ones? Let em marry. I hope my wife doesn't see this.
It turns out that people who oppose gay marriage this much are usually gay themselves but they hate the thought and try to push it away but it comes back stronger and stronger and they get louder and louder about their dislike for it and then they explode on some random stranger in the bathroom of a gas station and all that tension is released and they start to heal inside and accept who they are. It's a beautiful thing really.
I support gay marriage as a precursor to just getting rid of government-defined marriage altogether. There'/ no reason for the government to poke its nose in anyone's love life, and current structures provide a financial disincentive to remain single.
It really just seems like you want everyone to live by the laws of your God and that is oppression. This is unjustified treatment. I don't believe your God is even real so why should I be forced to live by what you believe are his words?
nothing. . they weren't sued for thinking homosexuality was not normal. they were sued for breaking public accommodation laws. you can't break the law because of your "feelings" or "thoughts" You are still free to think whatever you like. You are not free to break the law, and never have been.
Well if everybody was gay, the human race would die out.. PS- George Michael has just died of AIDS, and so did Freddie Mercury before him, what a waste.
So you - like all other progressives - wish to use government as a tool for social engineering. For my part, I'd like to suggest that free men don't need your government nanny. Let's restore government to its proper role in our society and simply remove it altogether from citizens' personal affairs. Not sure I understand what you're trying to say here.
You are projecting. I believe in common sense. It is a foreign concept to some. - - - Updated - - - LOL! Moving the goal posts in order to hide the fact you are wrong I see. - - - Updated - - - I am simply saying society has are right to govern itself. You are saying the opposite. No surprise. I did not think you would.
The arbitrary stipulation to gender in the many and various marriage statues constitute a prima facia violation of the 14th and 10th Amendments. The burden should be on the government, not the citizen, to prove the merit of any particular legislation. The obvious solution is to simply remove government from the equation. Free me don't need government intrusion into their personal affairs. Nor do they need or deserve tax breaks and entitlements for participating in a voluntary arrangement with another consenting adults.
1) I'm not projecting. You literally want everyone to live by the laws of your God. 2) common sense is common sense to you and you only, nobody has the same common sense.
The only thing I don't like about this site is that I'll say something very obvious, like: "The American Revolutionary War occurred before the Civil War" and liberals will pounce on that statement by demanding documentation. There are so many things that we just know. It gets weary being asked to document things a fifth grader would know.
So you do think a nation free men needs a government "minder" to govern itself? That seems a bit contradictory. So tell me, what limits would you place on the government nanny? And for which purpose would you empower it? To what end?
Where have I mentioned God? That is quite delusional. I did not want to bring it up but you are imagining things.
Since gay marriage does not harm hetero marriage, and since I think gay people should be subjected to the same hell many heteros were subjected to when marrying a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*), I say yes, gay marriage is wonderful. I have been subjected to this hell 5 times. Daddy kept telling me, "son, you do not have to marry them"... to which I always replied, "but you and the church taught me not to live in sin". So my dad and the church of my youth, sent me to hell basically. Seriously, I think marriage creates a better society, in that it is about being responsible, keeping your word, and giving of yourself to another person. So gay marriage is good. Yet I spent much of my life being against it, for I thought homosexuality was a sin and crime. Thanks to my conditioning. I no longer think it is sinful, nor do I think it should have ever been a crime. I think people are born with the affinity to be attracted to the same sex, unlike most of humanity. Why this happens is probably due to something in brain development, and is natural for it happens in a certain percentage of populations. So given this, offering them marriage is good for the overall health of society. And it is just the right thing to do. Yet to see two men kissing, you know the kind of kiss I am talking about, makes me wanta puke. Makes me a bit sick to the stomach, literally. But that may just be natural hetero reaction unless you grow up around it and become conditioned to seeing it. Anyways homosexuality makes me so thankful I am attracted naturally to the opposite sex. So, they serve that purpose. I don't mind gays at all, but I do not do well around them, for they make me laugh too hard, the really affected ones, and I do not want to hurt their feelings.
Hey they did it to themselves. No one sprayed an anti gay virus up their noises. It's like this, you live a risky life style you have to accept the results of that life style.
Everyone knows we need laws to govern a people. Unless you want to go back to caveman days this is just how it is. I have no problem with people being as free as they can as long as there is no danger to society. I also believe a society has a right to determine what is and what isn't acceptable behavior.
how? you don't need to be heterosexual to procreate. - - - Updated - - - uh, I didn't move anything, nor am I wrong about anything.
