Pence and Trump saw eye to eye on POLICY. I don't see a Sanders/Klobachar on the policy or the personal. She has gone after all his plans. I mean if you think she would server in a Sanders administration because of abortion maybe.

I wouldn't be to sure about that. I didn't think Trump could pull it off but he did.

    Never say never!

I don't think she wants any part of the disaster that will be his administration and is at huge odds with his policies and positions. Yeah Bush41 made the "voodoo economics" quip during his primary campaign against Reagan but they saw eye-to-eye on all other policy especially defense and foreign policy. Bush's complaint about the economy was about how to do what they both agreed needed to be done. The goals were the same.

You don't know if it will be a "disaster". For some it might be but for others they'll maybe think "yea, he's doing ok". I don't think she'd decline the veep pick if it came her way. Heck I think even Pence would take it since all he has to do is sit there like he downed a whole bottle of Xanax.

She'd still take the job if she thought he was going to win.

I think their primary goal right now is to get DJT out of the White House and see if there's still anything left to salvage from our Federal Government. That's some same-page stuff right there!

What does Klobachar have to do with a Sanders / Tulsi ticket?

I think a lot of people in here are simply wishing. Bernie isn't going to pick a moderate. He's going to pick another socialist, or at least as close to one as he can get.

Well I don't think that is what either wants.

Why? Why would she tie herself to someone she is at odds with and will be a terrible president and right now doesn't look like a sure bet by a long shot. I think that if Sanders gets the nomination that his hunt to try and find someone who will run with him well be a bit like Ross Perot.

And I don't think that is going to win the election. They are doing just fine and so is the government along with the economy. To want the power for powers sake and because you can't stand the President is not a very attractive platform.

I dunno, maybe ask anybody in any social democracy in any country in the western influenced world (including Canada, Australia and New Zealand) and ask them?

You don't know if he'd be a terrible president. Besides "terrible president" is relative. I think DJT is a terrible president but he won the electoral college so I just have to endure it. If Bernie Sanders wins the electoral college, you'll have to endure four years of what, to you, I'm sure will be a terrible presidency while his supporters will think it's all a hoot watching "cons" heads explode.

Revise the OP. It wasn't asking your opinion on that. It was asking forum members who they thought would be a good veep choice if Bernie Sanders, presumably, won the nomination.

It wasn't asking who'd accept the job or why.

I still think Amy would take the job even if she's not 100% on board with his policies. Maybe being close enough and with the power to shape and influence those policies would be an enticement?

    Tell that to DJT!

You asked what moderate would want to serve in a socialist democracy. You didn't name a specific country. I gave you examples of social democracies (which I'm sure even a Bernie win would not even come close to) around the world where moderates and centrists have learned to work with those on the far left and the far right just to point out that, you know, it can be done.

If, among our closest allies, lawmakers of differing political stripes can learn to work together, it doesn't say much about us if we resolutely can't?

    Hypothetical question, hypothetical answer!

Oh I can well imagine the President he would be by his past and his present, by his statements and positions. What has been so terrible to you about the Trump Presidency, the economy? Nope. Foreign relations? Nope. National security? Nope. How has it affect you terribly? I don't vote for candidates to watch the other side's head explode, I consider my vote more vital to the future of me and the country. The terrible would be an economy that would go down the tubes, higher taxes to pay for his schemes, less economic freedom, a weaker position in foreign affairs, strangling regulations on all of us and with his Bernie Bros set to suppress any opposition. And you really think Amy will prostitute herself and abandon all her policy positions and do a 180 and adopt and support and promote his..............really?

I think it quite clear which election we are talking about and which socialist we are talking about.

If you're going to answer your own questions you don't need me do you?

Besides which that has nothing to do with the OP who asked who did we think would be a good veep pick for Bernie. I'm sticking with my original answer.

Bernie recently said that he would not pick a white male. His base won’t want a white female either though...

It’d be amusing if it were AOC.

You asked which moderate would want to work in a socialist democracy?

I looked at social democracies around the world and saw plenty of examples of that working so there's no reason to suspect that couldn't work here.

Or maybe you think it's just impossible for people of differing political stripes to work together in the US?

Did Sarah Palin kill the ticket? I thought she energised it?

Mayor Pete, young, gay, combat veteran, moderate.

Americans may poll, "Gay Is Okay"

( )o( ) once ready to mark their ballot, a change of heart occurs.

We need a qualified VP candidate. Not a sociologist's pick.

Suggested above, the governors of Washington and Montana.
    Some Western Blood.
Governors are overlooked and, better than Senators.

I was a McCain supporter until, Sarah.
    Voted Obama in '08.
