That is a strange definition - but partly true. The Establishment consists of both Red and Blue elite politicians and bureaucrats - and the big money interests pulling the strings.

It is not some cabal or star chamber - (although such exist) - there are many different interests - and often these interests conflict with each other.

You are not going to find the Establishment looking at "Hot Button" issues - Abortion, "the wall", Gay Marriage, and so on - things on which various factions conflict. The Establishment in general does not care much about these issues - other these serve to keep the people divided and off target.

To demon is found by looking at that the Establishment agree's on.

Your definition does not much help us to figure out whether or not Trump is an Establishment wonk - or Anti Establishment (or a mixture of both )

Take Russiagate for example. Clearly we had one faction within the Establishment going after Trump. It is also clear we had a faction of the Establishment defending Trump. There is the "disagreement"

Now lets find the demon. Where do these sides agree ? At the end of the Day - Russiagate is being used to go after freedom of speech, freedom of information, freedom of the press .. you are being asked to trade liberty for security.

She wants criminal penalties for so called "fake news". The problem is - who gets to decide what fake news is. Warren's definition is - Opinions she disagrees with.

When a Gov't - one that is one of the biggest offenders with respect to propaganda - tells you that they want to criminalize "propaganda" - the hair on the back of your neck should be standing up. What they are really doing is trying to censure information that conflicts with the Establishment propaganda narrative.

 

This is complete bullshit (except for the part about deaths during the Cultural Revolution). I have traveled many times to China over the last 20 years. Nobody was arrested for talking to me. There are not police everwhere. I have never been questioned by police folks. I have run into travel restrictions for a city which houses a large naval base and a section near the border with Uzbekistan.

Yes, the DNC-E and GOP-E are about the same, but all fall into the pool of the top 4% that want to wear the Progressive mantle that Woodrow Wilson envisioned. A re-visit to the days of Slave owner political dominance.

So what we really have is three separate political movements currently competing for power and dominance.

Personally, I'd prefer a strong middle class which only the Trump/Blue Collar/Farmer coalition can perpetuate.
The other two put the country back on the course of stagnation except for a small percentage of those who make the decisions for everyone else.

There are separate interests - but they are intertwined - and sometimes they are united as one. As stated previously - the Devil is not to be found in the hot button issues (abortion, gay marriage, the wall and so on) issues on which there is conflict. The Devil is found in the areas on which the Establishment agrees.

Trump is an Establishment wonk - and Social Darwinist. Like the Sheriff of Nottingham in the Robin Hood story - he steals from the poor to give to the rich.

Free Healthcare is an oxymoron of sorts, nothing is free somebody always has to pick up the tab. Free sounds nice but have you actually looked at the details? I'm wiling to bet it's full of restrictions and is rationed. What we once had could have been the model for the world but instead Obama decided that we should have shitty healthcare like everyone else. Please name a country other than the US where your age is not a factor in obtaining life saving medical care. We spend billions every year to ensure the same level of care applies to an eighty year old who is bed ridden and may linger for another decade or more, as it applies to a healthy twenty year old. As broken as our healthcare system is it still provides care equally to all until our naturally occurring last breath.

 

A revolution in the US won't be the people versus the government it will be brother against brother and only the government will win.

 

But that bid ridden old chap did contribute a lot with taxes of course, and like any American citizen, why is it shitty to take care of him after those years of toils and his personal exploits making this country what it is now. We owe them as well and we have an obligation to address.

 

You missed my point, I was referring to countries with socialized medicine that ration healthcare by setting limits on care after one reaches a certain age. Things like life saving organ transplants are ruled out if the would be recipient is elderly. Rationing of any sort is not what healthcare is all about, no one's healthcare should ever be a bottom line decision. If a government insists on controlling healthcare it should be about delivering nothing but the best healthcare for everyone but to date no country has. Instead the very best they can do is make sure everyone is insured and even Obamacare never achieved even that. It's a form of wealth redistribution. When someone had quality healthcare insurance that the government took away and replaced it with worthless low quality healthcare that costs more something is terribly wrong. Like all things Socialist it gives to others something and in doing so imperils someone else that heretofore had no problems. That is what I was talking about. You cannot havee government healthcare without robbing peter to pay paul. In this case paul is the elderly.

Polls this early mean nothing. The only people paying attention to the primaries are political junkies, not the mainstream of the voting public. If Sanders becomes the nominee, more Americans are going to start paying attention to his record. That means more Americans will no longer be ignorant of videos like this.



At that point, I argue you'll start to see polls going in the favor of Trump.

For example, Trump won Wisconsin in 2016 by 27,257 votes over Hillary Clinton. Current internal polling is showing that Trump will win the state in 2020 by over 100,000.
