I'm pretty sure that Trump, and a good portion of his base, would prefer no Mexicans lived in the US. It is kind of hard to avoid it when a forth of the United States used to be part of Mexico, and the people came with the land.

The Brown Shirts aka Storm Troopers were Nazis. IOW, national socialists.
The NSDAP was a working class party that eventually attracted much of the SDP and KPD to its ranks.As the Old Left shrank the national socialist vote exploded.

The SDP remained the NSDAP's biggest political rival until the Nazis outlawed their party.

There were two wings of the Nazi party: the socialist wing under the Strasser brothers and the nationalist/volkish wing under Hitler. Hitler won. The socialists left the party and were exiled, except for Gregor Strasser who stuck around long enough to get murdered by the party.

 

The Brown Shirts that were purged were hard core national socialists. Much of there membership came from the SPD and KPD.

The conflict between Rohm and Hitler had noting to do with socialism.
Rohm tried to take over the military, and was predictable murdered.
The SA remained part of the NSDAP until the end of the war under pro-Hitler leadership.

I don't think it's correct to say that the Socialist and Communist Party rank and file went over to the Nazis in large numbers. Some did, of course, from the paramilitary organizations. They were called 'roastbeefs' by other Nazis: brown on the outside, but still red on the inside.

In the last free national election the Germans were allowed to have, the SPD and KPD between them got 37% of the vote, as against 33% for the Nazis, which was a drop of 4% for them since the elections in the Spring of that year.

Hitler was an intelligent guy, with respect to tactics, and after the 'Beer Hall Putsch' he realized he should not try to take power against the armed organs of the German state, which were in any event pretty conservative already. He build his private army, but took advantage of the insane policies of the Communists, dictated to them by Stalin, which labelled the Socialist Party as the "main enemy" and made it impossible for the two parties to co operate. In Parliament the Nazis had 196 seats, the Socialists had 121 and the Communists had 100. Had the two parties of the workingclass Left cooperated they could have prevented Hitler being made Chancellor.

In other words, Hitler owed his victory to Stalin.
