I attended a boarding school for two years of high school. Half a day of classes then half a day of work. You could work half the night too if you wanted to or needed the money. I do not know of a single person I knew there that isn’t a successful net contributor to society and the economy. In fact, even though all but a couple of my graduating class were from lower middle class to poverty homes, all are middle to upper class economically now. About 25% were millionaires by age 40-45. Learning to work young is invaluable.
