Europeans did not enslave the black Africans they were enslaved by black Africans who then sold them to others.

That is probably true since the Portuguese already had .2-3 colonies in Africa to get slaves from. But 1520 +or - wow that does sound early. Hmmmm and only 28 years after Columbuso opened up the Carribean and Central America to the Spanish the Portuguese needed to outflank the Spaniards.

PS EDIT I just checked the date for the first African slaves is noted as "around mid century" 15 hundreds. It seems that the Portuguese used indigenous people of "Brazil" as a stop-gap plan. The "Brazilian" tribes were already enslaving each other so the Portuguese just joined in the fun fest.

Then there is Trump's "achievements". Employment has had a steady trend up before Trump, which he takes credit for and has tried to sabotage with tariffs, but that aside, the black community still has twice the unemployment rate as the white community. Many of the jobs are low pay. With a full time Walmart job at $11 dollars an hour you can afford $550 a month rent. Where can you afford to live, per you, "inner city cesspools". The bipartisan First Step Act were measures blocked by the GOP during the Obama administration. The only reason there was slavery coming from Africa is because when the tribes went to war with each other, they sold the people they captured from the other tribe to the highest bidder instead of putting them to death. Your own people sold you into slavery. Get reparations from them.

Ya'all were a sleep during history class. African tribes were generally in a perpetual war with each other over territory, hunting grounds and other resources. When the warriors did battle one tribe (the one winning the battle) usually captured warriors from the opposing tribe. They would make slave labor out of the other tribes captives, the ones that weren't needed were typically put to death. When the slave traders showed up, the tribes stopped killing the excess captives and started trading them for things like blankets, wax candles, oil lamps and the oil to run them, fire water, pre made bows and arrows and food.

Think for a second, most slave ships carried a crew of 50 or less. African tribes of the time typically numbered from several hundred to several thousand, there was safety in numbers. The slave ship crews were armed with one shot flintlock pistols, one or two per man. A good man with one of these pistols could fire three rounds a MINUTE , the procedure to reload them is slow. I'm sure there were cannons and rifles aboard the ship. Assuming they would leave 10 crew to protect the ship from pirates. 40 guys with single shot pistols would be quickly overwhelmed by several hundred battle experienced warriors with spears, clubs and knives. So I highly doubt they were able to steal the tribe members for long before the warriors would be waiting to let 'em have it.
