    Why particularly COVID deaths? How about any other deaths that would have been avoidable?

    Let's make government officials responsible for any deaths that happen under their watch. Make Lightfoot responsible for the deaths in her town. Cuomo for the nursing home deaths he directly caused. There's a whole bunch more.

    Grease up Madame Guillotine, make them all responsible!

    Many on the left believe that Trump is responsible for the "stupidity of some of its citizens" but Biden is not - one reason for this poll.

    Why should Trump be any different? If the very same people who, under Biden, refuse to get vaccinated, then why would Trump be held to a higher standard? In fact, Trump, again, has recently stated that people should get vaccinated and he was booed for it. And, Democrats spent a whole campaign in 2020 telling Americans that if Trump told them to get vaccinated, they shouldn't listen to Trump.

    Neither president is responsible for the deaths. And even if they were, they wouldn't be responsible for all of them so then the problem becomes deciding upon what percentage they are responsible for, all of it based on biased and arbitrary methods. It would be an exercise in stupidity.

    That isn't to say that you can't point out just how blatantly irresponsible Trump was with his Covid rhetoric while he was in office. He had a basic duty to the American people to be an adult, and unsurprisingly failed at it, as children usually do.

    It's stupid for suggesting the a President is responsible for every death that occurs. It's not like he's running around with an aerosol bottle spraying people. Some folks are accepting the risk of not getting vaccination. Others are mobbing up at concepts, games etc.

    Meh. The vax is out there if you want it. I don't think people should be made to take it by law. Same with masks. I also believe a company has the right to employ whomever they want and to enforce dress codes on the people they serve.

    I used to wear serious PPE at the foundry I worked at when I was younger. There was a reason for it. There is a reason for me to want you to get jabbed though I have no right to force it. I can choose to associate with you or not and that is enough for me.

    No, people believe the message coming from trump and his administration caused the situation to be worse than what it could have been — this is reinforced by data comparing the US vs other wealthy nations.

    As an “independent thinker”, how can you not see the nuance here?

    I can name a ton of things trump should and shouldn’t have done, what should biden have done to reverse the growth trends that he didn’t or wasn’t fought by republicans on?

    I didn't blame the President when my grandpa died from the common cold. I dont see any reason to start now.

    I do blame the Trump admin for destroying what little protections we still had against dangerous corporate pharmaceuticals, and I blame the Biden admin for destroying the right to informed consent.
