well, not too magnificent. And maybe out of papermache. This is a good idea though. Just as some may honor the 'not too magnificent, papermache pyramid', it would serve to warn others to vote with their minds and not their emotions, lest we get yet another charismatic false messiah, empty vessel to try to run things.
Lately he seems to make most decisions by putting himself or politics first, to him it's logical. It was also logical that if he wanted to play golf after the be -heading speech, he should. So sometimes the political move is not always the rout he takes, his personal needs will sometimes even over ride that. I imagine this is nothing new with many Presidents in their second term,,but this ISIS thing is heavy, and if he thinks he can hold off and just kick the can he is mistaken, if we get hit by those morons his Presidency will be in serious trouble. People will wonder what the hell this guy was thinking, and they just may see him as unfit. It wont be a George Bush moment garnishing support at the Trade Center, it will be finger pointing and a very angry country. I doubt very much people will be talking about Rushmore.
Are there mountains in Mississippi? But, I wouldn't want his monument to be in the Deep South. I'm sure they could crave out a spot for him near Mt. Rushmore.
I believe history will be kind to Obama. He has accomplished much. 1. Kept the country from slipping into a Depression in 2008 2. Helped save the American auto industry with loans that have been paid back. 3. Got rid of Osama BinLaden. 4. Helped put a health care system in place that every President (including Republicans)since FDR have tried to put in place. So now I'll tell you all---YES I do believe his face belongs on Mt. Rushmore.
An honest answer deserves comment; If Reagan had been Black or a Woman, with his overall popularity, he would have been added or put another way if Obama was anywhere near as popular, simply bringing the Country together, opposed to tearing us apart...then yes he would be added. My vote; No It's hard to imagine another President judged worthy of such aptitude, but future generations and historians will determine Reagan's fate or any person's right to the honor and those generations deserve a more contemporary idle...
No. There isn't room. Really, Teddy Roosevelt isn't a great enough president, and he should be blown off the mountain. \ Mt Rushmore was primarily built as a tourist attraction....
put picture on the food stamp card..he is the king... http://www.pleasegodno.com/uploads/obamabucks3.jpg
Obama protects us from nothing... he makes us vulnerable to everything. We have hordes of thousands of illegal aliens spreading diseases in our schools and among our people, and they keep on piling into our country, thanks to Obama's oblivious negligence: http://www.nationalcenter.org/P21PR-Immigrants_Health_Schools_090214.html . Everything he does is shrouded in lies and deceit, and he cares nothing for American taxpayer citizens. It is an ungodly disgrace that a nothingness like Obama could ever have been elected to our presidency -- and RE-ELECTED! Hint: he has already begun to rule the United States with his "pen and phone" -- just like an unconstitutional dictator, and he has broken the laws of this country no less than three times in the last three years! If he loses his majority in both the Senate and House in November, he will simply run the country all by himself, and have his ass-kissing "news" media curse anyone who criticizes him as "RACIST"!
It would be racist if he wasn't up there. To his fanbase, he is bigger and better than any of the current Presidents on display on Mt Rushmore.
The hard left will never abandon him, though. They have way too much invested already to bail out now, or ever. Even if Obama the man and Obama the President both suck, Obama the symbol will always be revered by them.
Well, if he puts boots on the ground to engage ISIS you best believe he will hear from them, and it wont be pretty.....That's all he has to do is mention the W word and they will freak out.
Other than as a works project during the Depression I can't see any point to Mt. Rushmore. The only place President Obama's face should be posted is in the post office.
I hope this is a joke I we really going to put the face of the man who has done more to rip up and dismantle the constitution right next to the author of the constitution
I disagree. The only noise out of them you will hear is defending Obama's plans to put boots on the ground. You have a lot more faith in the consistency of progressives than I do. There are very, very few issues that they won't bend on in the name of political expediency.
I do not think so Brew, that's why at times his approval can dip into the thirties and then bounce back later on. True in the end they will ultimately back him [In general] just like the right with Bush, but they will let their disapproval be known. They will never approve of boots on the ground, they will never give him a free pass on that. The extreme left is no different than the extreme right, there are just some things they will not accept. [In my opinion]
Actually, it was primarily planned as a way to bring tourists to the area. It was started in 1927, before the Depression.
