    It's a 'magazine' not a clip.

Like I said, go do some research before talking about something you know nothing about.

Your example is a weak trope straight out of the Turner Diaries, or by watching Red Dawn too many times. If you want to continue believing you and your AR-15 are that last great hope for defending our democracy, go right on ahead, but it's that faulty logic that is at the root cause of all these shooters being able to purchase these weapons.

The 2A doesnt mention hunting. It does mention security though, and the AR-15 is demonstrably a 'security weapon'.

The greatest threat to the security of anything is humans.

'Minutiae' is what makes the difference between good laws and bad laws. We're concerned about it because, as they say, 'the devil is in the details.' The lack of concern of 'minutiae' is precisely what concerns me about further gun restrictions.

It’s not a matter of entrenchment. It’s a matter of constitutional law. You can not ban an entire class of firearms.

It’s not a matter of belief. It’s a constitutional legal fact that you can not do what you are proposing.

Why not? Fully automatics are banned already.

So, you ask why I said a government monopoly on firepower would be a tragedy, I give you a list of examples where governments have slaughtered their unarmed civilians, you completely ignore it, and tell me I won't be able to do much so I should give up my weapons.

    No.

I also take notice of your subtle attempt to paint me as a white supremacist, that is a very good indication of a weak argument. You really need to try harder.

No, you've painted yourself off as paranoid.

Your examples are weak because your examples rely on the false premise that ONLY because of an unarmed citizenry that these regimes took over.

So lets see you explain away the Warsaw Uprising and Partisan movement in Yugoslavia during WWII.

And while your at it, the Syrian Civil War, the American Revolution, the Peasants Army in the Russian Civil War, and the armed resistance in South Tirol that saw that area gain recognition by the International Community which forced Italy to come to the negotiating table.

Also, do avoid calling people names or diagnosing them with mental disorders, it only hurts your credibility.

Hmm and why does planned parenthood conplain when states try to require them to have doctors with hospital admissions rights?
Because it's about selling abortions not women's health.

Nope not at all. If you knew your history there were guns at the time which the founding fathers knew about that could fire 30 rounds a minute and were reloaded in only moments. The future was easy for them to see and we know that for a matter of fact.

Then, no one has a right to tell anyone what to do. Everything, every law, amendment, authority may be questioned and each situation that is perceived as unlawful is simply that, subjective. If this were so, we'd have vigilantes and anarchy. Looting would be the norm. All laws, even those that proclaim rights of certain segments of society would be questioned.

There are tons of new laws in regard to radio, TV, and the internet....and everything else.

What the hell was the point of a new country in 1776, if the rules and laws people came up with prior were already perfect and covered everything that ever will exist?

Some people want to live by the rules of the Bible, which says if a woman is not a virgin on her wedding night, she should be stoned to death. Same for gathering sticks on a Saturday.

The Bible is perfect, isn't it?

Except I didn't post a cheesy photoshopped picture to promote an insane false narrative.

So you believe in Government to the point that they can do what ever they want to you and you have no way to defend yourself?

Why aren't there mass shootings of civilians in Israel? Isn't a large proportion of their citizenry armed with automatic weapons? Is it the culture and not the guns??

I don't think the forefathers would tolerate the questioning and abuse of our Constitution the way we're seeing it today.

I don't know if ordinary Israeli citizens are allowed to purchase full automatic weapons, but if you're trying to make comparisons between the US and other countries, then you'll be on the short end of the stick. Australia use to have pretty liberal gun laws until they had a mass shooting and initiated a gun buyback program. The US is the one hold out in comparison to other industrialized countries, by a factor of over 100x.

Oh please! Let's stop deifying our founding fathers. They were not gods!

They intended for a living constitution that would change with the times.

Are you a medium now? Can you talk to them beyond the grave? You lot like to come across as so high and mighty, it's really quite funny.

You also ran off from me earlier, I'm still waiting for you to explain away the examples I gave you in regards to people who were able to fight back.
