    Joe Walsh with his bandana. That wasn't a gang sign back then. I wore one sometimes, too, back then in my teens. Times have changed for the worse. Everything has some dark meaning or connotation. I can only play so long. It's too much for me.

    No way would I eat something I raised. My neighbor is raising a calf for beef. He has named the calf and I don't see how you can eat something you name and treat it like a pet. That is a bit more barbaric than I can handle.

    My aunt & uncle did that with a calf when I was 9 and it freaked me out. I stayed with them in West Texas for 9 months and got a pretty good taste of farm life. The calf & pig we raised and ate I coulda done without. :cynic:

    I have turnips, mustard and rutabeggas that are coming along very nicely.
    We are waiting for a storm to move in tonight. Looks like it will be a lively storm.
    The pups are smile machines, they keep me on my toes and smiling at their antics. The border collie has to have someone play frisbee with him at least twice a day. That is an added job for me..lol.

    :D I'm not quite that bad. I have a new position at work and getting used it is will take more effort, but I'm looking forward to it.

    EDIT: 4 days of work then vacation!!!

    Like what does " Rutabegga " look like when it ain't coming along.
    Just kinda hanging out looking for better pastures.
    That is how I spent a majority of my College years.
    Just hangin' out,gettin' stoned and having enough drink to
    keep me happy from one day till the next.
    Not a care in the world cept having enough Pot and beer and
    maybe sandwich meat.I highly recommend it.
    I worked all my juvenile years.Never had time off or even free time.
    College was big escape.

    LOL. Not quite true....well, except for sex, but not long term relationships. When I divorced 7 years ago, after a brief relationship with a woman 9 years my junior (she was 45) I met a woman who was one year younger. After a 5 year relationship, we married. :D There's lots to be said for having a relationship with someone close to one's own age.

    When I was a teen, my girlfriend's family had someone raise a pig for them. I don't have a clue why, but they took the pig home for them to see before taking it to the butcher. Bad move. The kids didn't want to eat. I, however, ate like a king. bahahaha He was a cute pig. Oh well.......yummy.

    A slight disagreement. I can see that many people are may exaggerate, "put on their best face" and do other things which may be considered dishonest, but I do not think that makes them liars or dishonest. OTOH, I also see many people who are completely forthcoming, but that isn't always appreciated by others. ;)

    As for the human species, we're pretty good albeit often take two steps forward and one step back.

    Truth and True are different. I meant, for example, all men shave once a day. This is not true. It is false.

    Everyone is a racist. Clearly not true.

    All white men only marry white women. Not true.

    All Muslims are evil. Not true. Just because I think they follow an evil religion, doesn't mean I think they are evil.

    Most folks hate the truth. They want it sugar coated. The worst haters are simply in the deepest denial.
