    I was just comparing alternative retirement plans for long serving public officials not their politics.
    I just think Kansas is a great retirement option. You know, sunflowers, jayhawks, beaches, amber fields, and other great stuff. :)

    There are people stuck in Kansas, sure ... .

    Same as there are some stuck in the Florida Keys.

    Grass is always greener on the other side.

    If I were stuck in Kansas I would try to move to Okalahoma (original spelling) because they have more deer hunting than any other state. You can get 3 tags there.

    I had been told that a drive through Oklahoma is just like a drove through Kansas, but you never see a jayhawk drawing lazy circles in the sky in OK. I have driven through both states a few times - have yet to see a jayhawk anywhere - makes you wonder. Of course I was driving very fast. ;-)

    I remember once Bill Bennett { Once our Drug Czar and Education Secretary }
    who went to U of Tex in Austin explained how he had a date with Janis Joplin.
    From what I remember it didn't go so well.After all Bill Bennett is one old-fashioned
    fuddy-duddy.Claims to have never once smoked pot.Like Billo O'Reilly.
    Bennett claimed he could high just from all the pot smoke in the dormitory hallways.
    Sounds like my Freshman Dorm at Dayton U.

    I believe that was the hour { 5 pm } that ushered in the Notorious TGIF
    notion. Which I also believe was created in the early 70's. Like the
    Allman Bros.
    Sometimes I get so tired thinking of all the things My Generation created.

    I wish I was there too. We have had 2 days of rain with more to come tonight and tomorrow. Temps dropped down into the low 50s'
