I stayed up all night at the hospital and would trust Red Bull better than coffee and I love coffee. I had to drive 60+ miles home. Red Bull works.

 

I'll only go as far as sliced, hard-boiled eggs.

 

Good hot gyros over a greek salad is also very good.

 

Yikes! Now you're putting sandwiches in your salad? Sheesh!

If it's yours it is a good. A good that you can sell when you find something that works better for you.

 

That is why they are so good. The bread adds very little to the flavor of many sandwiches.

That is my last resort....I have a generator to go with it. The Tent is Waterproof. 3 Rooms. Also have a couple heaters. Air Mattress. Plenty of Blankets and Comforters. Several just to keep the air mattress protected. As I would have my cats with me.

Winter would be rough. But I would make do.

 

I think a cold pasta salad sounds pretty good as a short meal
for Dinner or most any lunch.
Why are you so hellbent on limiting the potential of salad
My Mom used only basic Iceberg lettuce when I was a Kid.
She eventually moved on to Bib lettuce as I got older.
I use basically only Red or Green leaf or Romaine lettuce.
Sometimes w/radicchio.I have also moved on to adding Kale { raw }
in as main ingredient in my lunch salads.
Don't be such a bully about salads.
Salads aren't picking on you ... are they.
Which may explain why Miss Smarty seldom mentions salads
as part of her diet.

 

I'd rather have bare iceberg lettuce than the best mix with meat in it. There are some things that should just be kept separate. Meat and salads are a prime example.

I get frustrated, at most restaurants, when I try to order one of their big salads. They're perfectly happy to leave out the meat, but they won't give me a break on the price... I ask for the meat on a separate plate.

Yeah.....its not. My brother's condo. Before that my Mother's Condo. My brother is an over the road trucker. Home like only 6 times out of a year. 5 Weekends out of the year and one full week off.

Things worked out so that I got to stop at Casino Morongo.

When I finish my third Martini (dry, Hendricks Gin, three olives), I get to eat fried noodles and kimchi at the Natural9 restaurant.

Yay!

 

Makes one wonder if that was what Jack Nicholson was referring to in the movie "As good as it gets" when he said "Good times, noodle salad."

It is a person's own choice to have a salad the way they want it. I love salads, if it is a veggie salad any veggie is all right except raw potatoes. I hate raw undercooked potatoes in a salad.

Salad alone has very little protein. If youre going to have a salad in place of a meal, you need to add protein... otherwise youre eating mostly water with little nutritional value. Boiled eggs add protein, but not much unless you add more than one. I usually have 'protein plates' 2-3 times a week from the deli at work (salad w/added protein). One day they add grilled chicken breasts but most days I get a scoop of chicken or tuna salad.

My fav is fried chicken salad... but also love a good cobb salad. You don't know what youre missing.

There's nothing wrong with having a cheeseburger or fried chicken with a salad. What's wrong, is mixing a cheeseburger or fried chicken into a salad.

Mixing meat into a salad is wrong! It's a corruption which adds to the further degeneration of societies. The two ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for their wrongly placed meat.

Save yourselves while you still can!

 

Applebee's used to have a beef salad but they have since discontinued it.

It was quite good.
