The noise is related to how well it's insulated under it. I've been in houses that you would never know the roof was metal, and then there is my shack, with the cathedral type ceiling in the living room, it can be deafening...

    Who knew?

I was driving around, looking at people's yards for ideas to steal, when I saw the sign. My town has a piece of the World Trade Center.

Whenever I go to Baltimore local friends choose the restaurants. They really know their crab cakes.

My first apartment had very thin walls. Newly weds on one side, a witches coven had meetings on the other, and several young gay males shared the one above. If I had had the smarts to turn on a recorder I could have sold the tape or a transcript to Hollywood script writers for a bundle. It was often incredibly hilarious.

Crab cakes should never be too crabby if you make your own.

There's crab cakes and then there's CRab cakes for the
ultra wealthy.I've seen crab cakes for around $3-$4 a cake to
some in the neighborhood of $30 to $ 40 dollars per crab cake.
Now Alaskan King Crab also varies extensively in cost due to
being seasonal.I think on whole it's close to double and even
triple the cost of Lobster per pound.

You can make your own crab cakes, but this place really knew how to do it.

You can still walk around in that neighborhood - if you are feeling lucky.

Even been to St Michaels MD? My mouth just waters when I think of the crab cakes and other seafood. My problem is, because of my weird food allergy, I can only watch and drool when my companions are down crab cakes….

Baltimore was my favorite stop between DC and NYC. Baltimore County seems to still be okay.
Have not seen much of MD other than Ocean City - a couple of times.
    Will Google St. Michaels.

Never been to Baltimore but whenever I watch - Silence of the Lambs -
    a true horror picture there's a scene where Clarice gets a tip { clue }
from the Monster Hannibal. It involves going to a place { Old section of a
city I think resembles Old Baltimore } to find clues in a storage garage.
Inside the Garage is all kinds of strange old belongings.More like
reading an Edger Allen Poe story. Then this Old guy wearing an old
hat { like a Derby } further reminding one of what Edgar Allen Poe would
look like if still alive. He can't help Clarice get the Storage Garage door
open. This strange old man who seems like a modern version of Poe,
    pleads that his driver { he arrives with his chauffeur driven vehicle }
has a fetish about manual labor.Won't think of it.
So Clarice is left using the car jack from her cheap heap { car }.
Baltimore being known for Edgar Allen Poe day each year.On the
date of his death. The Legendary Mystery/Macabre writer's death was
a mystery and his medical records and death certificate have been
    lost.

I'm kinda into YouTube videos of abandoned places.
There one from 2017 of the Pink Floyd Mansion that was
sold by David Gilmour and purchased by some Rock Producer.
Because it was used as a Recording studio. The Outside of the Mansion
is overgrown and quite concealed with a nice entrance gate starts the video
off.The Mansion is old and the outside needs a good cleaning and minor
repair but nothing major.Very solid and beautiful. The inside was left
intact with most the furniture. It also just needs a good cleaning service.
The owners just up and left and never returned because of a tragedy
that happened to the Mom.Seems the 14 yr.old son of the Record Producer
owner was out with pops shooting his pellet gun.A shot fired and richochets
and hit the Mom in the neck lodging in an artery. She was hospitalized and
was put into a medical induced coma to keep her alive. The Father and son decided to
never never return to the amazing Mansion. It sold in the late 80's for
    $ 12 million.It has been abandoned since 2007.
It's up on YouTube under the Title :
    - Pink Floyd's ABANDONED Mansion { FROZEN IN TIME } Sept.2017

Funny. We had our roof re-done a couple years ago. It seems everybody in this area goes with these greys and charcoal colors around here. We went with a cedar color, and it sets our house apart from others. The sun was going down when I took the picture, so it looks a little darker than in full daylight.

You were talking about re-siding your house. When you do that, are you going to change its color? Luckily, a medium light grey roof would go well with many siding colors.

Whether I re-side it or not, the house will always be some light green color.

Hopefully not pea green and heaven forbid not
Puke Green { vomit } like what Linda Blair did in - The Exorcist - { 1973 }.
But she effectively made her point. There was an eccentric family
that lived in my city known by their Name - The Purple's -.
And practically everything they owned was purple.Their Purple Gremlin.
    And yes,their entire small house.

Wow. I had no idea parts of the WTC were sent around the country.

Reminds me of the USS New York - the bow stem of that warship is made of steel recovered from the WTC:

It is, and the steel from the WTC in the bow stem isn't the only thing that is remarkable about that ship. If you look closely you'll notice that there are no right angles on the ship, which makes it harder to pick up on enemy radar. Hence, this new class of amphibious assault ship is loosely billed as a "stealth" ship, although the term is obviously relative.

No green stamps necessary, cupcake. I celebrated my return to good health with a mani-pedi today. Bright orange polish. Very summery. :sun:
