Another thing I did was read... has anyone read this book? “The Magic ofOrdinary Days. “ ? It is a book well worth reading. I am also going to start working on painting again. Burnout on things you like to do is easy. Starting small.
Iread a bit.. just reread Charles Martin's "Thunder and Rain" , I read a bit of the Bible daily and a lot of Christian bases books.. and shun most everything else.. that just kinda happened, I think 'super heros" are stupid.. same with vampires werewolfs, in fact, most unrealistic fiction that invovles teenagers with special powers. Etc etc.. i.e. anythings that is even remotely "woke".. I've dumped series that , for some reason not at all pertainent to the story, have to mention one of their characters is "gay" or suptin.. I watch Utube, autos and history mostly.. and the second they mention something "antiTrump" I dump that.. the same with vids that have to add AGW, and any number of woke theories in the story or vid.. I just dump them. I am very good at picking up on the subtle indoctrination in most o pop culture.. they don't have to be overt in anyone spot, just repeat those "woke" theories , voer and over until they are accepted without tho't. I read once that most people think homosexuals make up to 20% of the gen population.. the real number is betwnne 2 - 5%, and trangenders.. a tiny subset of that (like the general area of ,02%) yet wield a huge influence on pop culture. It is designed ot destroy the family, which has long been a communist goal, once the family is destroyed the state can replace it.
Something interesting about Border collies you have to assign them a job to do or they will find their own job. You may not like what they find if you don’t find one for them. They have a great work ethic no half fast job for them. When we are traveling he is the traffic monitor. He watches the traffic.
It isn't a political thread and that is the beauty of coming here. We talk about other things like food, garden, pets, dogs, cats, hobbies, dramas, vacations, music, and etc. take your pick we have fun and stay sober at the same time. Come back soon and you can have fun too.
Mine didn't last long. Habits are hard to break..we are coming up on being old timers here. We can always say we remember the good ol days.. Remember Foolie? We see new faces and remember the old ones that are no longer here..gone elsewhere.
The company I worked for once gave me a Nissan to drive it was an older model with thousands of miles over 100K. Still ran good. I don't know anything about the newer models.
30K miles today is not many miles. Some autos still are under warrantee. Google the difference in a warrantee vs a Guarantee Use a service that explains condition and auto vs fair price to pay. Edmunds and Kelley Blue Book can help you discover a fair price.
Ordinary republicans and democrats should remember they are not represented on either side by the extremists who wish to tear your wonderful country apart. Remember the things you have all achieved, a democracy that is the envy of the world, for its size and stability. Don't let us down guys the world needs you.
Rabbits dry quickly. It's only humans that seem to need towels and even then not really. The psychological trauma of being handled by something as terrifying as a human being is far worse than a small wetting. (think of being picked up and aided by a ghost, for that is what wild animals see us as; it is to their great credit that most of them retain their 'sanity' after the experience)
Priced under KBB and a grand or two under same year and model listed for sale in nearby cities, clean history (was a repo from several states away), still has the factory warranty that transfers with it as it is certified. Has a few blemishes--scratch on one front quarter panel that may buff out and a wonky gunky place on dash where GPS was pulled off. Other than being a 4 cylinder and having no key, all things pretty decent. There is a jeep I am into as well because that would sure come in handy the one time every 3 years we get snow that lasts a whole day
No key for the car? So long as the auto is legal and not stolen, Locksmiths know how to make new keys or even get a new ignition lock. I felt wrong spelling Warranty with two e's at the end. But it passed my spell checker.
My new avatar describes how I feel politically these days. Lots of other folks on both sides feel the same way. Since this bar welcomes both sides, it's time to adjust the rules accordingly. Still NO POLITICAL DISCUSSIONS IN THE BAR. But if somebody needs to blow off steam, they'll no longer be tarred & feathered. Y'all do a great job of not replying and getting back to real life stuff. That's all it takes to keep this joint sane. Thx y'all... you're the best!
ut oh... called oliver an idiot.. BUT I did cancel my donor payments too! I might be banned for awhile.. LOL
No key. It is a push button start with a remote to open the doors. Technically there is a key that pulls out of the remote to unlock the door in case the battery in the remote goes dead, but that is it. Put your foot on the brake, push the button and the car starts. A bit odd. I eyerolled when the sale rep tried to convince me that all new cars are that way now. Have no idea if it has a chip in the remote the way my dead car has a chip in the key. It may let you drive twenty miles without the paired key before it shuts the computer down completely. IDK. Someone told me that when it happens there is no way to start the car even with the right key without a dealership computer to unlock them. May be true. May not be true. I only know what people have claimed.
I have a 2017 Chevy and it has the button ignition. I also have an app on my phone that I can lock, unlock, locate and start or kill the engine. Handy dandy!
