Sticks and stones my break my bones but names will never harm me. When I die, you shall cry for calling me the names you called me.

You missed out on the guilt part?

Got about half my eatin' gardens tilled ahead of the rain. That'll have to do for now.

Moderna shot #2 is not being my friend when it comes to laboring. Just suckin it up until it frees me from its grip I guess.

Did get a few peppers and tomatoes in the ground but have many miles to go.

Wish I had some time but my roof is taking it all. Hopefully I will finish before the real hot weather sets in. But it is still pretty hot up there.

Yeah that is one thing I gladly pay people to do for me when it needs done. Fortunately there are enough roofers in our area that there is downward price pressure. I did my house with 50 year shingles, ridge vents, drip edges, and the rubberized crap in all the valleys a couple years ago and it ran about $5K total which included replacing some of the sheathing.

There is still plenty of time to plant except for peas and radishes. It will probably be another month or so before I put corn in. I have better germination rates if I wait until around the second week of may to do it. Heck, we are not even quite to our 90% chance of no frost date yet (that'll be next week) but since there is none in the forecast, I am going with the live plants already. I have only been burnt twice doing that. One year I was prepared for it and protected everything thing. The first time it happened my tomatoes survived the hit but were stunted.

Thanks but I don't consider that art. It is just knowing the rules like how to measure and cut.

I did my own roof because I am on a limited income. And the reason I went with metal is shingle disposal and the fact I will never have to roof again....ever. It is a real pain doing it all on my lonesome. I have tomatoes and peppers started along with some marigolds. Just ain't had time to get to the garden.

I got 1024 square feet of metal and 500 screws for 1,150.00 tax included. The valley metal cost 20.00 a 10ft. peice. Since my valley was 11ft. they threw in an extra valley for free...and you can't beat that. I paid 50.00 for my "boots" ... three of them...and they threw one of them in for free. I really like Echols metal.

This past year I began to think the alternative might be better...geez. I actually went to a restaurant this week sat down and had a meal. I ended my meal with a 13 layer chocolate cake..so good.
Back to cooking at home I fixed shrimp and grits today it was a toss up shrimp and grits or étouffée. The grits won.

    Its more than that.
Its a pile of lumber, the tools and knowledge it takes to produce something. The medium is many things. Its the vision. The thought process of taking the lumber and tools, or the water, plants and fish and creating something from that. Your vision is created in the medium you choose to create it with and it is an art form. In my world anyway.
