Lol, thats my patio in the pic and it has a pergola roof. No damage to house but theyre talking $3500 to car. Fortunately the crooks are dealing with each other. Im just waiting to hear their final deal. Thing is.... Ive already signed all the contracts incl a release for the insurance settlement. Salesman admitted they jumped the gun by guessing what ins will pay based on their own body shop estimate. Now theyre nervous. Somebody might have eat a thous or 2... but it wont be me!! Grrrrrr!

I know it's too late but here goes. When we had severe hail damage about 16 years
ago a couple neighbors collected the biggest hail { samples } they could
find and immediately put them into their Freezer.I think some put them into
ziplock bags and then their Freezer.Insurance adjusters go up on the roof
and measure the size of damage. They'll be little ruts or holes punched into
the roof.Possibly penetrating into the wood plywood.

When I was out burying my oldest cat this morning I got a text that someone I have known my entire life died from an OD overnight. It is one of those what the hell is next sort of days.

My 51 YO friend dropped dead taking the trash out last Monday. It was not a big surprise as we recently found out he had about zero liver function. But I expected he had a few years in him. Dumbass kept drinking, with no liver, he was basically getting an early start on embalming....I mean, where can the alcohol go with no liver?

I guess I can kiss my 20$ goobye now! The nerve of him to up and die! You could tell he was unwell but he was still up and walking, driving...doing chores. Last I saw him, we took a load to the dump, we unloaded crap like an old fridge.

Well in this case technically it is 4's I suppose. Monday I found a long dead cat under the building I had to dispose of (not my cat); Tuesday I found a dead possum on the edge of my property I had to dispose of before it stank up the place; and then the cat today followed by the human death. The person didn't shock me so much that he died but it did surprise me the method since alcohol was more their ish. He was facing probably a realistic 3-5 prison sentence out of a possible 10 year max sentence in his near future so he may have just decided to purposefully "accidental overdose" himself a permanent pardon. IDK.

Anyway, hope to be in bed early just so this day ends. It has been sucky for a billion little reasons all wrapped up in some nice 30 mph frigid gusts.

I had to go for some blood work a couple of weeks back, they told me no coffee before the 5 quarts they needed.

I suggested they might fare better if they had coffee available and waiting in the exam room after the vampires were done. I guess they didn't take me seriously, so I told them to hold a minute while I went out to the car for my emergency stash. They were discombobulated to say the least.

Talked to the neighbor who found him yesterday. She said he faceplanted hard into the wet shellrock road (rained that morning) With any mercy, he died standing up.

I went to visit the 75 YO women he lived (and cared for) with. She was slumped over in her walker, despondent and confused. The place smelled badly of urine and feces, roaches crawling about. I got her in a chair (no small task, big gal) and got several bottles of water in reach. I think she has lost the will to live. Neighbor said EMTs were there twice yesterday, she refused to go anywhere. Her sister will be there today. Hopefully she can convince her to seek help but if she wants to sit around and die, I guess it's her right. She certainly wont last long, but I been thinking that for years.

Sad, but nothing I can do but look in on her. She has nurses and therapist over several times a week.
