Dryer decided to stop working while I was at work. I hope it is just the $25 thermal fuse. At least that is what I ordered as a starting point.

I'm wondering how much you anticipate saving.
    I'm going to find out how much - {James Blackwood - Raccoon Whisperer }
spent on his spankin' new shed { small barn }.Roughly same dimentions.
Blackwood is a very gentile and respectful gentleman.
He's kinda goin a bit nuts with his spending.
Since YouTube pays money based on number of subscribers.
Blackwood went from like around { 30 K } 2 years ago to just
    under { 500 K }. He's spending on big items every month.
4 wheel car and new fancy snow blower.New steel roof.
    New music equipment { he plays drums and organ }
All kinds of new tools plus spends probably at least $ 25 dollars
a day on Raccoon eats.He proudly shows off each new item.
    He's a saintly man.Lives in Nova Scotia.
I bet he said how much his New Shed/ Barn run him.

I saved thousands because I did it all myself. It just about killed me. My back hurt for a week and I am still tired. I also had the steel cut into two pieces so I could handle the metal. I also had to go barefoot to put on the ridge cap to keep from sliding off the roof. It was a real pain in the @$$.

Ok.Then roughly how much did you need to spend on material.
This James Blackwood had his new Shed/Barn delievered on a trailer
complete. In the aftermath of winter { about 6 weeks ago }.
He just got thru wiring it for electric.I think he had around 3 or
4 junction boxes. There's a neighbor close by to me that bought a house
around 6 years ago and fixed it up.Then had a really Nice double Garage Barn
with a metal roof built. It's really nice. His garage door to the house was one of those
really Nice Fancy wood type like what you'd expect in maybe Bavaria or
Switzerland.I get jealous pretty easy. But less each year as I'm a senior.
My main goal is life a longer healthy life.I'd like to purchase a used
Trailer out in the countryside. As a 2nd place.

The metal was 85.00 a hundred a sq. ft. Had to buy ridge caps... 4 at 20.00 a piece. Valley tin...4 at 20.00 a piece, and screws at about 20.00 for a bag. It took 2 bags. Total cost about 2000.00 dollars. I had furring strips and had to buy screws for attaching it to the roof. They were about 4.00 a pound. I don't remember how many of those I bought but at least several pounds. I also sprayed the wood down with diesel fuel to preserve the wood. I also cut the panels and spent (wasted) money on tin snips. I used a metal cutting blade in my skilsaw to cut the metal. About 10.00 for the blades. And... my old skilsaw played out and I bought another one at Harbor Freight for about 30.00. This does not include gas money to travel to buy stuff.

If the material were bought at Home Depot it would cost a lot more. The place I got it makes the stuff while you wait.

That's good to know and apply. That places like that still exist.
Home Depot is too political.Even thought the Founder was on Fox
with Neil Cavuto earlier this year talkin' very American.
He obviously got overruled by the Woke Cancel Culture mob
of Oligarchs.Mom and Pop stores have all but been eliminated.
I was thinkin about them just yesterday as I keep looking around and
the massive amount of places { strip Malls } that have closed the last
    decade.Much more the last year.
    It's almost - 1984'ish -.

Also check and clean all lint collection areas, including the exhaust pipe. Too much lint build up can reduce drying efficiency, to the point you think it's no longer working.

Or, it could be the thermal fuse, lol.

LOL. That reminds be that when I was 16 or so me and this other guy had the job of painting the tin roof at this place where we worked. It was a long, wide 50' X 175' 1 story building sitting out in the middle of the full sun. It was a PITA because the oil paint turned to a molasses consistency as soon as you applied it out in the middle of that summer sun. I wasn't paying attention cause we were just painting and running our mouths, but while I was painting all the lower edge on the roof with the intent to work toward the ridge, my not too bright co-worker painted the ridge down toward the bottom edge and we got stuck in the middle with no unpainted path way out. We made a dash for the ridge but that ended as soon as our shoes hit the sticky wet paint. We both fell and in very slow motion slid face down down the tin and off the side of the building. There was nothing to grab to and we couldn't regain our traction. We were absolutely covered in that metallic silver paint.

Main Street USA was apparently able to coexist with the odd 5 and Dime, Rexall, and Penny's, until the strip malls and Big Box warehouse stores finished them all off for good.

On the job learning like that is hard to forget.

I am way too old to fall off a roof. My daddy always told me to work facing the drop off. Never turn your back on the edge of a roof.

That's It ... I've made up me mind.I no longer care about the
Latest from Smarties Bar & Grill.I wanna hear from the Eldest
    of Smarties Bar & Grill.
Like maybe from Eldest Cleaver { Beaver Cleavers older cousin }.
Nuttier than a super nutty Christmas Fruit cake.

    I mean,why not.
Instead of playing Kick the can ... how about Kick the fruit cake.

Well I certainly learned that day not to put the ladder on the opposite side of the roof you are working on :)

Because how on Earth could a Thermal Nuclear war happen
if just a single fuse isn't On Board.Up to the task.
    On Sabbatical.Absent without leave.
Who ever whoulda done thought that a measely fuse that
one could buy for as little as 50 cent could be so dire.
Why Mr.Fuse,of course.I done met the guy onced.
    After flunking out of college.
Strangely enough he looked just like Mr.Natural.
Of those Hippie Cartoon publications.Kinda like what
    David Letterman transformed into.

The Notorious Charles Manson was Sold by his current
Mother at the time at age 5 for a Pitcher of Beer,
No need for me to make this up.
Nor is what I say about current times.

It is an indisputable fact that a $200 part is there to solely protect a 50 cent fuse.

One of my projects was tending a sick fish. Poor little guy is 3/4 of an inch long.

    20210310_1530311.jpg

He had a mouth full of bacterial growth or fungus. It took a lot of special care and treatments to cure. He emerged from quarantine tremendously thin - emaciated. I dealt with that for six weeks, or so.

I have two of these fish. I can't tell them apart, anymore. The sick one is back to a healthy weight.
