    *This is the weight, and all, of your argument, against the prospect of a Republican House, launching upon even a single impeachment of Joe Biden, much less making it their raison d'être, as they did with trying to overturn, or erode Obamacare 100 times (not to mention the Senate's numerous efforts).°° Why would anyone think House Republicans are obsessive?

    <Snip>
    Over the weekend, GOP representative Nancy Mace told Meet the Press host Chuck Todd that “there’s a lot of pressure on Republicans” to vote to impeach Biden

    On Monday, Rep. Matt Gaetz declared that if Republicans retake the House in November, their number one priority should be to “engage in impeachment inquiries to get the documents and the testimony and the information we need,” saying that if his party doesn’t go after Biden, “voters will feel betrayed.” Speaking to ex-Trump administration official Steve Bannon, Gaetz insisted that investigating the president should take precedence over “policy [and] bill making,” and lamented that some members of the GOP want to do dumb things like “work with the Democrats so that we don’t have to go through the pains of any government shutdowns.”

    <Snip>
    Rep. Adam Kinzinger—one of the few anti-Trump elected officials in the House, who is retiring at the end of his term—warned last week that a House controlled by the GOP would attempt to impeach Biden “every week.” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has made impeaching the 46th president an official plank of her own personal platform, introduced articles of impeachment against Biden the day after he was inaugurated. GOP nominee Joe Kent has promised, on several occasions, to “drop impeachment papers” on Biden (and Kamala Harris) “on day one."

    ...In January,
    Ted Cruz said on his podcast that Republicans would impeach Biden “whether it’s justified or not,” adding: “That’s not how impeachment is meant to work, but I think the Democrats crossed that line. I think there’ll be enormous pressure on a Republican House to begin impeachment proceedings.” As The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake noted on Monday, it was probably Senator Joni Ernst who best summed up the party’s position when she said: “I think this door of impeachable whatever has been opened.”

    “Whatever,” indeed!

    Note: Every single legislative assault on Obamacare is cited, individually, at the site.

    <Snip>
    As of November 02, 2017, the United States House of Representatives has considered 100 resolutions to repeal, deauthorize, defund, or otherwise destroy the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (better known as Obamacare[1]).

    The GOP-led House has also shut down the U.S. federal government for the first time in 17 years, and failed to meet many of their basic obligations. But, hey, at least they can vote dozens of times to repeal a perfectly constitutional law[2] which, while strictly worse than a conventional single-payer system, will immensely help their non-insurance-company owning constituents.

    Every one of these resolutions is a waste of thousands of your tax dollars, and if you see your represenative's name on this list, I urge you to contact them and speak out against this partisan, persitent misuse of time and resources.

    As it existed in every country in the world for almost all the world's history they were already slaves when purchased.

    They can get an impeachment all day long the evidence is there without even bothering with hunter. But they will never get a conviction. Again what are they supposed to do? Biden won't compromise on anything he doesn't have to because the dishonest alphabet soup media will cover for him while as per usual blaming Republicans for Democrat obstructionism.

    Your own post is both ignorant "poppycock," and non sequitur. "The American people," overwhelmingly want the Congress to function, and address real issues, not engage in symbolic, and baseless, impeachments. Yet my post at the top of page 6 (addressed to you), gives plenty of indications that this waste of time, is exactly for what we are in store, from a Republican majority House. Once again, your denials are based on nothing but your own word; my SNIPS include quotes from numerous Republican members of Congress.
    Who should we trust?

    An impeachment vote, by the House, does NOT need a President's signature; making your post, wholely irrelevant.

    Again the Congress can pass bills all day long they cannot pass them over a Biden veto.

    Do you somehow think that I am arguing in favor of impeachment? Or are you arguing, that the Republicans have to impeach, because Biden won't cooperate with them?

    Even after you just admitted, "they will never get a conviction?"

    Please organize your thoughts, to the point of presenting a comprehensible argument, before replying to me, again.

    And they don't NEED IT, for impeachment (once again). Was Trump so stupid, as to sign his own impeachment? If you don't think so, then why do you keep bringing up this point?

    who the hell was talking about an impeachment. As I said if you'd actually bothered to read they can get an impeachment but they cannot get a conviction there simply are enough honest Democrats to make it happen. To be sure honest Democrat politician like giant shrimp or
    Neither Impeaching Biden will be a meaningless exercise if they cannot convict. And that without veto proof majorities in both houses there is no meaningful legislation they can pass That will solve the country's problems. Because Biden will veto anything that has a chance to work because his wacko green base would immediately swat him. These phrases have nothing to do with each. Note technically impeachment is not legislation it is an investigation.

    If you had bothered to read my post, you'd know that I'd found your post to be incomprehensible, since the point you are making here, is completely non sequitur, to my post.
    * I was.

    ** That is my point, and the object of my chagrin: Republicans' turning the "Peoples' House" into a Nut House.

    I hope you will remember your own assessment of this "meaningless exercise," if and when, it consumes the time & focus of the House. But will you hold Republicans accountable for this waste, or will you justify it, as above, with the claim that it would be impossible for Republicans to pass ANY helpful legislation, if they had to COMPROMISE with the other Party?°°

    First of all, your claim flies in the face of reality: if Americans felt that the Democrats, who have been moving forward Biden's priorities, were doing nothing to help them, how does your mind explain to itself, the midterm's blatant reproof of Republicans, and endorsement of Democrats, relative to one another?

    °°
    Secondly-- and not unimportantly-- your above-stated attitude, is precisely the reason, that people say that the Republicans are becoming increasingly authoritarian, and are ever more resembling of Fascists.

    Except the Dem Rats did not control Congress or the Senate from 2017 and 2018 and only the House in 2019 through 2020.

    Good lord your like talking to a freaking three year old. Of course you don't need it for but impeachment is a waste of time if the Senate will not vote to convict.

    Any actual legislation for instance restoring keystone and compelling Biden admin to issue drilling permits will be vetoed by the Biden admin.l

    I don't think you are going to listen but for anyone else who wants the truth of what is going on, here we go...

    June 7, 2014 - Petro Poroshenko takes office as president of Ukraine

    June 19, 2014 - Ukrainian Parliament approve Poroshenko's choice of Vitaly Yarema as prosecutor general.

    August 5, 2014 - Yarema opens an investigation into Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevskiy on suspicion of “unlawful enrichment.”

    October 14, 2014 - Ukraine establishes the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) in an attempt to crackdown on corruption. It was created, in part, because of the recognized issues with the Prosecutor General's office and it's ineffectiveness in fighting corruption.

    February 3, 2015 - Ambassador George Kent, acting deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, met with a deputy of Prosecutor General Yarema, and “scolded” the deputy prosecutor for having “shut the criminal case” into Zlochevskiy, demanding, “Who took the bribe and how much was it? It is about this time that Kent learns that Hunter Biden is on the board of Burisma. He raises his concerns with the office of the Vice President and is told that Biden's other son (Beau) is dying of cancer and “there was no further bandwidth to deal with family related issuesat that time.”

    February 10, 2015 - Shokin replaces Yarema as prosecutor general.

    September 24, 2015 - US Ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt gives a speech in Ukraine complaining that the office of Prosecutor General is stymying investigations into Burisma. Pyatt criticizes “officials at the PGO’s office” for not providing documents that were needed for the British investigation of Burisma owner Zlochevskiy and effectively allowing Zlochevskiy to transfer $23 million of what Pyatt says were Ukrainian taxpayer assets to Cyprus. In other words, Pyatt is critical of the prosecutor’s office for not aiding in investigations of Burisma’s owner, which was in line with Biden’s criticism that the office was blocking corruption investigations. Pyatt specifically called for the investigation and removal of officials who were involved in the failure to help the British authorities investigate Zlochevskiy.

    George Kent, later testified that, “I did not witness any efforts by any U.S. official to shield Burisma from scrutiny. In fact, I and other U.S. officials consistently advocated reinstituting a scuttled investigation of Zlochevsky, Burisma’s founder, as well as holding the corrupt prosecutors who closed the case to account.”

    October 8, 2015 - Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland testifies before the US Senate committee on foreign affairs, “the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has to be reinvented as an institution that serves the citizens of Ukraine, rather than ripping them off.” She continues, “That means it must investigate and successfully prosecute corruption and asset recovery cases, including locking up dirty personnel in the PGO itself.”

    December 8, 2015 - Vice President Biden makes a speech to the Ukrainian Parliament urging the country to step up anti corruption reforms.

    January/February 2016 - Biden has more conversations with Ukrainian President Poroshenko about the importance of rooting out corruption.

    Note at this time the PGO investigation into Burisma had laid dormant since closed by Yarema in early 2015

    March 2016 - Biden travels to Ukraine in order to let the Ukrainian government know that unless Shokin is removed from office the US will not provide $1 Billion in loan guarantees for Ukraine.

    March 29, 2016 - Ukrainian Parliament votes overwhelmingly to approve Poroshenko's recommendation to remove Shokin from office.

    There you have it, I have left out some of the details from testimony of others who were involved and how they all agree that Shokin needed to go because he was NOT investigating corruption.

    As far as your "report" from Giuliani try this theory on for size, Shokin lied.

    He claims that he was ousted for investigating Burisma/Hunter Biden but as I have just shown he was not doing that.

    Not true. Trump withheld the aid to Ukraine (no matter how briefly) a violation of The Impoundment Control Act of 1974.

    But even if he had not violated the law that has nothing to do whether or not the House can impeach him.

    Good Lord, yourself. Your point is that it would be stupid, a waste-- how have you not yet realized that I totally agree with that? Your illogical leap, is to assume-- in defiance of all evidence-- that Republicans wouldn't do anything that was stupid. That is why I'd said that I hoped you would remember your words, if & when the House does take up Biden's impeachment (maybe you can find a 3 year old, to explain the implications of that statement, to you).

    I hope that Republicans won't take that road, and so, that you will have been right; which would be to say that Senators Ted Cruz and Joni Ernst, and Representatives Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace, and others, would now, all be wrong. No offense, but it would seem the odds are against your knowing more about this than actual Republican members of Congress. Also, fmr. Rep. David Jolley-- who is clearly no dope-- "promises" that this is what the Republicans will do. Also, Adam Kinzinger, warns that the House will be throwing impeachment actions at the President, "every week." Do you not remember Republicans, time and time again, voting to kill Obamacare, when they didn't have the votes, to do it? How was that not repeatedly pointless, in other words, stupid?

    Is it your argument then, if Republicans ipso facto, will not do anything that's stupid, that they just don't know how to count?

    Which, again, means absolutely nothing. American slavers chose to be slavers, just like African slavers or European slavers chose the same. American citizens chose to participate in or at least condone and support it. Those who had any part in it own that choice and are responsible for it. The citizens of other countries that participated can hold their countrymen responsible just as we should for what occurred in our country.

    Didn't stop house Dems and company from forcing a literally fraudulent investigation of DJ Trump based on Fraudulent data given to the FISA court that should have gotten everyone involved fired at the very least.

    Because the point of the repeated attempts to terminate Obamacare was political the base demanded it. And under the circumstances there was nothing they could really do while Obama held office. And then as now nothing was a vast improvement over the lame crap the Democrats wanted done. And they may well impeach a bunch of people because again most of the base will require evidence that they are willing to play hard ball with the most fascist regime in American History. The one thing I'd like to see them do is repeal the misnomered Patriot Act something that civil Libertarians right and left have been begging for almost since the day it passed. Be interesting to see how many Dems are willing to go along with that **** across the administrative states bows.

    I hate to sound like a broken record, but none of that changes anything. Woke Americans have no control over what happens in Islamic countries any more than right-wing Americans have any control over religious persecution or gun rights in China. I am unsure why you keep dragging out silly excuses and cannot accept that we are responsible for what happened in our country.

    Your point is BS. If TWO impeachments of Trump on bogus grounds didn't turn the peoples house into a nut house, one impeachment of Biden on legitimate grounds would not.
