I want to agree with you, but I think the retributive justice (or revenge) in the minds and hearts of so many will want to push impeachment. But I think, if they do, that action will be a strong hammer to drive home the fact that Republicans have more interest in their own power than the best interests of the American people. For the most part no. On the whole it did more harm than good as is typical for the left's attempts to 'help' most of we the people got nothing of use to most of us and the government got more power over our lives.

I think first the GOP if the they gain control of the House, not guaranteed yet as the Republicans have reached 211. Not 218 with 26 seats yet to be decided. They’ll go after Hunter Biden and investigate the pollicization of the FBI and DOJ first. Then they’ll impeach Biden at later. The Republicans feel the Democrats wrongfully impeached Trump twice for no more than political reasons, so it will be political payback. Never mind like the impeachments of Bill Clinton and Trump, it’ll be a total waste of time, energy and money.


What I’m interested in is if McCarthy follows through on his threat if he becomes speaker of denying certain democrats committee assignment like Pelosi denied McCarthy’s choice for the J-6 committee. Again, political payback. That was the first time that a speaker had denied the minority leader choices to be on a committee. This could get interesting.

 

Nothing wrong with questioning results you think are wrong. But when over 63 lawsuits prove that there was no fraud, to continue to declare that the election is stolen is irresponsible.

Nothing was forced. The Mueller investigation was a full GOP-sanctioned investigation with the blessing of then Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, given the evidence. And even the Mueller investigation verified some claims but not others, per the report, spelled out obstruction of justice in some 60 pages by the Trump Administration, and pretty much got some 24 people indicted for falsifying evidence and/or giving false information and convicted. It is just that Trump pretty much pardoned them based on loyalty except for his former attorney Michael Cohen. My only complaint, it was an unfished job because the GOP leadership knew that if it continued, Trump himself would be made a fool of legally.

 

The "no compromise" doctrine the GOP adopts when a Dem is in the WH ring a bell? And the GOP has not fought for the "benefit of the people" at all. :Shall we take a look at the Trump "Health Care Plan" which would take away protections of those with disabilities and pre-existing conditions while at the same time raise premium prices with lesser benefits to boost? Or Trump's immigration plan which will reduce legal immigration by 50% in exchange for giving 1.8 million DACA recipients a path to citizenship? Or the fact that the GOP's whole economic plan is to make Wall Street richer at the cost of ordinary Americans?
