I have to throw this one in even though it's out of order: Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill. One of my all-time favorites.

Who'd have guessed, that @Grey Matter doesn't know his alphabet? Or perhaps he has only put the letters P, Q and R-- as he has, so many of we other members-- on his ignore list?

    Here is a quick "P"

Here's another song, for "P," goin' back to a 19 year old Paul Anka:

Put Your Head On My Shoulder
But let me start with this rendition, by Catie Turner

And here's young Paul, singing his song:

I'm not immediately thinking of a good "Q," so it's either cheat a little, or skip it. Here's an oldie you may not have heard in a while, by
Question Mark & the Mysterians-- "96 Tears"

Hey! I wonder if the artist formerly known as Prince, got his idea, from "?."

    For "R:"
"Reverse Dance"-- Medieval tune, played on Hurdy Gurdy.

Since I filled in the missed letters, before "S," I'm also going to tack one of my own favorites, for this letter. It is such a classic tune, I'm surprised if no one else has posted it, earlier:
    Carole King's,
    "So Far Away."

    A lighter, but likable cover:

Live version of King, with James Taylor

While we're still on "T," I'm gonna double us down, with one of my favorite of all pop songs: The Eagles' "Try And Love Again." This song is not sung by the usual Glenn Frey or Don Henley, or even by Joe Walsh, but by the band's bassist, Randy Meisner, who just passed away in the last week, though with no noticeable fanfare.

    <Google Snip>
Music Industry News is sad to report the death of the original Eagles bass guitarist Randy Meisner, at the age of seventy-seven. Randy Meisner was born in Nebraska, and he became interested in the guitar when he was ten, after he saw Elvis Presley play on the Ed Sullivan Show.5 days ago

Unfortunately, there are no videos of the Eagles performing this song, back in the day (only of the more recent, Eagles tour group, which didn't include Meisner). I did find, at least, a live recording of the song, in which they do a little more mellow, laid back rendition, for the last clip; the video footage in that, though, doesn't match the performance we're hearing. In between, I wedged in the other song, for which Meisner is best known, "Take It To the Limit."
