Go spill some oil on your lawn and then tell us how nature easily broke it down.

I wouldn't spill it on purpose.

But neither do the oil companies.

They are providing a vitally needed product and accidents do happen.

Accidents don't happen. Someone screwed up somewhere. So in a round about way, they did it on purpose or justified it by a risk/reward analysis that was foiled.

Isn't that what I just said?

Some accidents are more foreseeable that others.

Maybe we need more individual accountability.

    But sometimes accidents just happen.

I guess it's not what you just said. I said accidents NEVER happen. Someone, Somewhere, screwed up or just plain ole tried to cut costs.

    I certainly hope you wouldn't!

    I don't doubt that.

The fact of the matter is, oil is a very dirty fuel. It is not only better for our environment, but also our pocketbooks to get off of oil ASAP. The cost of oil on our environment, our land and our health continues to grow overtime.

Often times it's much more cost effective to spend the money to upgrade so soon as possible than to wait until something breakdown, and then act.

Liberals complaining about oil? Since when???

Ok liberals, here is another chance for yourselves to quit using all oil related products and to provide us all witha real world alternative.

What is that? Don't know of any? Then stop whining about oil.

Accidents do happen because humans are not perfect and do not always do everything they should, when they should do it.

    Who is stopping you?

Liberals are free to pool their money and start green energy companies.

No one is going to try to sue you out of existence the way libs are trying to block much of our new fossil fuel production.

Is Exxon trying to outdo BP or something?

If someone does something that they are not suppose to do. It is NOT an Accident. It is stupidity or carelessness or greed.

In your mind, building a house on a hill prone to mudslides is an accident when the house slides down the hill?

The spill wasn't in Yellowstone National Park - although the media seems to be trying to spin it that way. The spill was in the Yellowstone river 100 miles downstream from the park. Unless the oil flows a hundred miles upstream, the park is safe.

It wasn't a drilling site that spilled; it was a PIPELINE, which are needed to transport oil, unless you prefer tankers, nor what it in Yellowstone.

Ever wonder why you ALWAYS have to distort the facts, omit facts, or outright LIE to try to make your point(s)? You should..

Can you provide a link to this car that runs on hydroelectricity? I don't understand how that would work.

Not a conservative on the Forum wold disagree with you on that point, I assure. It isn't the "right" preventing the effective development of the imminently renewably nuclear-generated electricity...
