Are you referring to the failed "Occupy" movement? When they cleared out the encampments they found gallons of urine in plastic jugs?

 

saving it for the 1-6ers to drink I guess, go along with their running their crp on the Capital walls....

While meat tenderizer works better urine has long been know to help ease the stings, just noting.

 

Urine is sterile FWIW. Sailors on long trips would collect urine to drink.

 

"Been around for centuries" =/= legit. People have engaged in animal sacrifice for centuries (longer, actually). Doesn't mean it works.

 

Urine is, most definitely, not sterile. The risks are very minor, but the benefits touted, outside of extreme survival situations, are non-existent.

 

Hey yard, your comment is not relevant to my post. I didn't say that it did or didn't work.

I was refuting the comment that this is a "new" thing. It's not.

• URINE formed by a healthy kidney does not contain any bacteria, though it could become contaminated with these on its way out through the urinary tract, especially when it reaches the tip of the penis or the vulva. • URINE is sterile because it contains no living organisms, unless the person that produces is unlucky enough to have a urinary tract or bladder infection. There are less bacteria in urine than in tap water, for example. But drinking tap water is (generally) safe because it contains no toxic substances. Urine is actually pretty toxin free as well, but does contain plenty of waste products and some salts. Drinking it is a bad idea because it would upset the salt and nitrogen balance in the body, and the body would have to lose excessive water (as more urine), in redressing the balance. Bear this in mind if you ever find yourself adrift at sea in an open boat.

Would I drink it regularly........no way................if I was in some desperate situation............you betcha

I was just giving my personal preference as opposed to those who drink it regularly.

 

Which is fine. I don't kink shame either. But this thread is about the use of "urine therapy" for COVID.

 

There are girls I know of who get offended if you will drink another girls pee but not her own. Which is why I eschew the practice entirely though I have heard it can add immensely to lovemaking

 

I’ve never heard of this. However I have heard of some yuppies in Boulder Colorado that drink their own and each others urine.

I have heard peeing on your feet to kill athlete's foot, but this is modern days, they have real treatments for that
