I would rather have trump in charge of battling this scourge than anyone you could drag on the scene.

So let’s just put it into perspective, shall we. My ignorant fool is handling this scourge a thousand times better than your ignorant fool could possibly have hoped to. Happy now?

If 1% of the population died from the disease, what kind of effect do you think that would have on the economy? Let alone the costs of treatment.

For point of reference, 2% of the American population died in the civil war.

    Well now waitjustaminnit!

I would LOVE to hear Hillary saying "What difference does it make now?" every time someone asked her about the latest (alleged) ChiFlu deaths.

Maybe she could even be caught on tape cackling hysterically about them.

1% would be over 3 million people. Where have you heard numbers like that?

Strange? Actually predictable. They are willing to sacrifice the economy to help win the presidential election in November.

Amazing isn't it how political hacks throw out made up numbers to bolster their belief.

Neither seems an accurate guess, but your comment that I was replying to had nothing to do with the case fatality rate of the virus, it was about the number of casualties in the US and the effect on the economy and country.

So why were you speculating about 3 million dying in the US? What could you have possibly read that makes you think one percent of the US population could die of this virus?

I’m being generous today. 1%. Also it’s the number I hope for when all is said and done.

So answer the question. What would happen if 1% of the population died? What effect would that have in the economy?

"For the last 5 years, Democrats have been trying to destroy Trump by any and all means."

Not five years. Just 4.9 years of continuous attacks, equal to 1789 days of leftist:banana:republic.

    1. I listened to the experts and not some political commentator. 1%.
    2. If we know the case mortality rate... we can figure out how many will die. Now you can argue that not everybody is going to get the disease and that’s true. But that’s dodging the real point. What’s going to happen when lots of people die from the disease and what effect will that have on the economy?

A lot of people would mourn their friends and loved ones. I wouldn't think it would have a meaningful effect on the economy.

The dumbasses think they can just start back up in November, without consequences, and live off of government checks in the meantime

Why is that? 3 million people not buying stuff, working, reproducing, making people smile. Seems that would have a pretty serious effect on the economy.

Yeah! All those businesses going under need to go under to clean up the economy, make it right again. And of course not rely on any of those government bailouts.

Yeah, poor them. Of course it also includes the elderly that are working minimum wage jobs which has gone up in recent years. I think without citing sources on the top of my head it’s about 10% of minimum wage workers. But don’t quote me on that.

And of course we have to factor in medical debt, funeral costs, the loss of production from grieving families. You know, economics.
