The two things don't really have anything to do with each other. Yes the SCOTUS is partisan. Has been for a long time. Kennedy was the only one trying not to let it fall over this particular hill and he is gone now.

As for the Impeachment, I believe it was wholly warranted, and simply indicative of the Reps inability to admit that their POTUS is a POS. I mean, the guy and his family literally stole from a kids Cancer charity and nobody seems to think that's a bad thing.

That's not a very informed opinion because there are obvious risk to having people who directly assist the President being forced to divulge information to people who are politically hostile to the President.

Having the assistant to the President being forced to testify is basically the same thing as the President testifying him/herself.

I guess. It's a meaningless asterisk, but an asterisk nonetheless. In the context of history, no one ever talks about George Bush losing the popular vote, nor does anyone ever talk about Bill Clinton being impeached.

Only the losers seem to prefer to bring that up at every opportunity.

 

*shrug* thems the breaks I guess. Nobody should be above the law, even the POTUS, but I accept that his particular position, and the perception it conveys, creates a bit of a necessary void for the time he inhabits that office. And really, I would hope that, if morals fail, then fear of being caught would be enough to keep the individual inhabiting the highest office in the Country from breaking the law.

This is easily dis-proven. Anyone with any amount of knowledge of programming and machine learning can web scrap news articles with the name "Bill Clinton" and count the very low amount of times the word "impeachment" appears in these articles. You can also look at any speech or interview Bill Clinton has ever done. The impeachment topic rarely (if ever) comes up.

Every single history book or biography about Clinton mentions Clinton's impeachment.. Any True Journalistic source that covers Clinton's life in full mentions impeachment. But with the thousands of articles on Clinton why for instance would a web article about Clinton's military defense policy or economic policy mention his impeachment. Your gauge is based on crude inefficient methods
