I have seen more than one poster comment that they wish death on her or are cheering because trump will get a third judge to “reshape the judiciary”.

she needs to step down. Shes what late 80s early 90s? This is what her 5th time being hospitalized in the last 3 years? An infection at her age, that is not an easy thing to beat. Especially given her medical history.

Nothing was stolen. This is absurd. One of the determining factors of the U.S. citizens vote for the Senate is on whether they want a more Conservative or Liberal SCOTUS. The Senate was the determining factor, as "We The People" intended. Now you want to attack our system, because you don't like how people vote? You sound really Authoritarian.

 

I feel such sympathy for cd8ed in this thread that I almost feel like posting something jubilant regarding RBG's infection just so cd8ed can point to it as proof, at long last, that someone here takes pleasure in her illness.

Ouch, i had friend who got an infection from gall stones. Extraordinarily painful and it finially took him.. wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

 

Win the Senate if you want the courts. That's the bottom line.

Despite her many of her rendered interpretations on the Constitution being in opposition to mine, there have been a few that I have agreed with. I have always admired she and Scalia were close friends despite their differences; it mirrors a relationship I have with my closest friend, one holding a far left, liberal polar opposite views to the skeptical conservative views I hold. Our friendship transcends our differences.
As for retiring, IMO, she’s earned the right to do what she wants, retire or sit the bench until she dies. That she still has chosen to serve despite her failing health has she has demonstrated her commitment to the Country regardless of my or anyone else’s opinion of her various opinions.
