Syria has not been attacking Americans who are not soldiers or the continental US. On the contrary, Syria is fighting Al Qaeda.

For some reason we have decided to arm and support Al Qaeda and ISIS

Assad supplied and supported Shia Extremists who were attacking both U.S. and Coalition Military Forces in Iraq from the Syrian side of the boarder which prompted the U.S. Military to issue an order and ultimatum to Assad to either use the Syrian Military to stop all attacks coming from the Syrian side of the boarder within 24 hours or the U.S. Military would invade Syria and stop such attacks themselves.

Assad did use his own Military to stop such attacks which confused the HELL out of the Shiite Extremists that Assad himself supplied.

I dont judge KSA just according to its Salafies, you'd be wise to do the same.

If I knew I might have voted for him, I assume its the WB, dont know what his solution to the Millions of Palestinians there, some right wing ministeres want them as citizens some say Jordan is their country, no one gave a formal alternative to the 2 state solution and today its still the official policy.

Assad Syria is Israel enemy, its not Bibi's desicion, we would be enemies even with a left wing PM, you know why we are enemies I dont need to tell you.

No one planned Da'esh let alone Israel, its something that happened, Im sure Israel is online with USA hopes for Syria, be it FSA or a weak Assad, personaly, I wished we could help the Syrians against Assad and start new realtions, but its too late now and its probebly wouldnt have worked anyway.

That's interesting but has little to do with some national security risk on US soil.

Curious though in which time period this occurred. Seems strange that Shia were attacking Shia.

Alpha get your facts straight. If I recall it was the Shia extremists who were coming from Iran, and it was Saddam's family and supporters who had run to Syria for refuge that were coming from Syria. They were the ones attacking the US troops...and they are not Shias, they are Sunnis and many of them joined ISIS later on.. Saddam's family members had a great deal of wealth in Swiss banks, etc., so it's very doubtful that Assad was supplying them.

The Sunnis are a majority in Syria, although the combination of all the minority groups such as the Shias, Alawites, Christians, etc. are more than the Sunnis. Most of the Sunnis in Syria are secular, so they too are fighting the jihadists together with Assad.

This was during the U.S. Invasion of Iraq in 2003 and a bit in 2004.

As far as Shia attacking Shia there was but just a tiny bit of gunfire when Assad ordered his own military to stop the Shia Extremists who were attacking U.S. and Coalition Military Forces in Iraq from the Syrian side of the boarder.

There is a very famous Cartoonist who drew a picture of Assad using a Shia Extremist Human Paint Brush to paint a Bull's-Eye Target around himself and as Assad looks up he is visibly shaking and cringing as a U.S. Abram's Tank's main cannon and the bomb sites of a USAF F-15E are being aimed directly at Assad as he stands and realizes he has painted a Bull's-Eye around himself.

Usually it is the U.S. State Dept. or even a U.S. President that would issue an order and ultimatum to a foreign government and it's leader to stop attacks upon U.S. and Coalition Military Forces but in times of WAR....the U.S. Military has the power to issue orders and ultimatums upon foreign governments and foreign military's in the event that the threat on the ground is eminent and lives are at stake.

The U.S. Military was within 4 hours of invading Syria with a few Battalions and we would have completely wiped out the Shia Extremist threat of which was a combination of Syrian Alawite Shiite's which are the same Shia sect as is Assad's family.

There were also quite a number of Iranian Qud's Force and I PERSONALLY have had my fill of those SOB's as my Team caught some members of Iran's Qud's Force driving a van loaded with Shaped Charged Munitions which were being used as IED's as a Shaped Charge Munition is capable of penetrating heavily armored U.S. Vehicles.

The Iranian Qud's Force is a division of the Iranian Republican Guard and their job is to spread the Iranian Islamic Revolution WORLDWIDE!!!

    They are FANATICS.

When we caught them they all had DIPLOMATIC PAPERS and thus had immunity as once a person with diplomatic immunity and paperwork establishes their identity we can no longer hold them nor prosecute them or detain them in any way.

I REFUSED to allow them to continue with their van full of shaped charged munitions as this could have caused the deaths of a lot of American, European and Australian Soldiers so I threw them out of the van and we drove it away.

I left those Qud's Force SOB's on the side of the road in SUNNI COUNTRY!! LOL!!!

Anyways those Shia Extremists attacking U.S. and Coalition Military Forces in Iraq from the Syrian side of the boarder were stopped from attacking us by Assad's Military as Assad had no choice.

Assad KNEW he had just 24 hours to use his own Military to round up and arrest all those Shia Extremists who were from Iran, Syria and Iraq or else the U.S. Military would have invaded Syria and Assad KNEW that he had pushed it too far and that once the U.S. Military had invaded Syria there was no guarantee it would ever leave.

    See post #231.

    I was there.

It was a combination of Syrian Alawite Shiite's.....Iranian Qud's Force Shiite's and Iraqi Shiite's who were attacking U.S. and Coalition Military Forces in Iraq from the Syrian side of the boarder.

Assad was given an ORDER and ULTIMATUM by the U.S. Military as the U.S. Military gave Assad 24 hours to use his own Military to stop all Shia Extremist attacks upon U.S. and Coalition Military Forces in Iraq or else the U.S. Military would invade Syria.

    THAT....is the fact.

    THAT....is what happened.

My point is that Basher al-Assad has been P!$$!NG US OFF for some time now.

He is part of a problem that prevent the creation of a lasting peace in the Middle East.

He has been marked for removal.

    It is inevitable.

LOL The US is just as much part of the problem that prevents lasting peace in the ME.

The military head of the Oligopoly-Bureaucracy Fusion monster running the US does not want peace in the Middle East.

It wants a destabilized Syria/Iraq to prevent competition in relation to its economic interests and it needs war in order to justify its 1 Trillion dollar annual feeding frenzy.

The Invasion of Iraq was a demonstration of U.S. Military power and I was against it.

The Invasion of Afghanistan was never supposed to involve large number of ground forces but some idiots in DC wanted to go Nation Building.

Assad like his father before him is a dictator and has ruled Syria with an iron fist.

He has been allowed to exist only because he allowed a secular society in Syria but after he used Chemical Weapons and yes....I PERSONALLY KNOW he used them and Russia knows he used them but Russia is interested in a warm weather naval port as well Putin needs to keep the Russian people distracted while he and 110 other Putin buddies continue to steal all Energy Export Profits from former private now state owned Russian companies.

Putin made a HUGE mistake getting involved in Syria.

From the very beginning of the stay in Iraq the USA as well as Iran, relied on Shiites, thus is religious defining the main allies in the country and pushing Sunnites on boondocks of the interests.

The rate was obviously insolvent though it isn't excluded that the USA wanted to earn political points, remembering the next Shiite Iran. The similar deal divided the Iraqi people and led it on the unprecedented way based on confessional distinctions. Therefore it isn't surprising that the idea of resistance was concentrated not only on fight against foreign military intervention, but also first of all on anti-Sunni slogans.

Strengthening of religious polarization in society was used by "Al-Qaeda" which skillfully played on contradictions and even more society set by the ears. Sectarian violence at the political level in turn promoted fragmentation in the cabinet. At its meetings topical economic problems were resolved, proceeding from sectarian ideas and preferences of the political groups created on a religious sign.(Institute of the Middle East Article http://www.iimes.ru/rus/stat/2011/03-08-11b.htm) home page Institute of the Middle East http://www.iimes.ru

We continued to warn the former Iraqi Prime Minister that if he continued to remove Sunni Officers from the Iraqi Military as well as remove all Sunni's from local, regional and national positions in the Iraqi Government that eventually there would be a Sunni uprising.

ISIS should never have even made it into Iraq but the Shia Officers got in their Mercedes and drove back to Baghdad all frightened as they did not even have Military Training as most of them were PLAYING OFFICER as they were Shiite friends of the Prime Minister.

    They were COWARDS!!

As a follow up to my previous post and our previous conversations:

    http://russia-insider.com/en/politics/lavrov-show-us-your-fake-free-syrian-army/ri10286

Who are these so called "moderates" ?

    We read:

US-backed Syria rebels say Russia raids destroyed arms depots

US-backed Syria rebels say Russia raids destroyed arms depots

    These fighters are identified as:
    http://news.yahoo.com/us-backed-syria-rebels-russia-raids-destroyed-arms-114802768.html

Who are these guys ? Little info exists so they are nobodies... a recent creation. Can't find a thing on them from prior to 2015.

    http://www.rferl.org/content/syria-us-backed-groups-bombed-by-russia/27283508.html

Oh goodie .. a few rag tag Islamists who used to be extremists but are now claiming to be moderates to get US weapons. What else is new.

Is this the best the media can come up with ? Where is this "FSA" ? Where are reporters reporting from the front line of this "moderate rebel" alliance.

    The reality ?

At least 70% of the FSA is now corrupted with Extremists.

But 30% of the FSA is not and that 30% are the one's that Assad want's dead first as Assad considers them to be the greatest threat to his rule.

At one time only a handful of Islamic Extremists were in Syria but this number has grown.

The current plan is to both wipe out Al-Nusra and allow the FSA to degrade Assad's forces and then once Assad is gone to wipe out extremists elements within the FSA.

Putin has gotten Russia involved and this is a huge mistake for both Putin and Russia as they didn't need to get involved and Russian involvement might be derided by the U.S. but in actuality it is working out very nicely for us long term.

At some point Putin will have to ask the U.S. for help as the Russian Economy is failing very badly and rapidly.

Europe was burned last time they invested money in Russia so Putin can't count on Europe and China is still irked because Putin stole $45 Billion of the $70 Billion China gave a Putin controlled Oil Company to develop more drill rigs and pumping stations to meet the additional requested increase in Oil exports to China as Russia could not afford to increase production.

China also signed an agreement with this Putin controlled Oil Company to lock in China's price at $120 a Barrel for Oil.

Since Russia did not meet the agreed upon amount of Oil exported China will no longer pay $120 a barrel.

Putin will have to ask for U.S. help if he wants to save the Russia Economy.

We will want a few things in return to do this.

One of those things we will want is Assad's head on a Platter.

The jury is still out on whether or not Assad used Chemical weapons or whether or not it was a false flag. It doesn't make a wit of difference either way.

The Pentagon did not give a flying fork about a bunch of Islamic extremists being killed by chemical weapons and a number of assorted civilians supporters of these nut jobs.

Folks like Rumsfeld in the previous administration were all too happy to support Saddam when he was using chemical weapons against Iran and his own people.

Not to many tears cried over our use of chemical weapons in Iraq. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/craig-considine/us-depleted-uranium-as-ma_b_3812888.html

Don't recall too many tears shed over Israels use of chemical weapons on the Palestinians either.

Sure Assad is a dictator. Few countries in the ME are not run by dictators who rule with Iron fist. How the heck else do you keep the extremists in line ?

So what is the solution ? Create another "Jihadist wonderland" like we did in Libya and Iraq ?

Look at Egypt ? Speaking of "Iron Fist". The extremist Muslim Brotherhood was trying to take over, and Obama was supporting these nut jobs. The Egyptian army gave him the finger and did what needed to be done by rounding up the filth and killing them.

Now Egypt is stable once again.

I recognize the need to try to fight for our economic interests. I am not living in some fantasy where the world is some big love in. The fantasy that you seem to be living in. The joke that we are trying to promote peace and so on. Need I rattle off the number of scum bucket genocidal death squad dictators we have supported in the name of economic gain over the last 3 or 4 decades?

But there are limits. Giving (or knowingly allowing- same thing) the likes of Al Qaeda, Al Nusra, ISIS shoulder launched anti aircraft missiles ?

Arming (or being involved in the arming) and supporting these religious extremists at all is a major crime against humanity ... straight up.

The folks in the Pentagon and right up the chain to Obama should be put on trial the same as they would be putting others on trial for supporting these extremists.

I have seen no evidence of any 30%. Every time I look into one of the "so called" moderate groups they turn out to be extremist affiliates.

I have been watching this conflict since it was a protest movement and have a personal friend who went to Syria just prior to the armed insurgency breaking out.

The insurgency was extremist right from the get go. Saud, Turkey and others were arming the extremists directly and we were supporting them all the way.

We along with the aforementioned partners created this mess by arming extremists.

The mainstream media has been doing a fairly good job in keeping the raging masses ignorant for now. My guess is that the elephant breaks out of the closet prior to the 2016 election.

We backed two horses in Egypt.

The Egyptian Military is very close and supplied and supported by U.S. CENTCOM.

It was CENTCOM that supplied the Egyptian Military Leadership with Recon. and everything they needed to know what would happen when Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood took Office as CENTCOM knew that Morsi and the Brotherhood would attempt to remove all Egyptian Military Leaders and replace them with members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

I actually talked about this on this forum BEFORE it happened and you can read my posts specific to Egypt and Morsi in my posting history.

We KNEW what would happen before it happened and I detailed it out BEFORE it happened.

    They exist.

Unfortunately the majority of FSA Groups have been compromised with Sunni Extremists.

We went though great lengths to make certain no extremists were supplied with the Soviet Made Weapons we were giving them out of our STORE just over the boarder in Jordan.

Unfortunately when Obama announced he would ask the U.S. Congress to OVERTLY SUPPLY the FSA....this caused large numbers of Sunni Extremists to head into Syria as their plan was to join the FSA....get supplied by the U.S....remove Assad....and then turn Syria into a Islamic Sharia Law State.

If Putin asks for help...and he will eventually....do you really think if it comes down to either saving the Russian Economy or saving Assad that Putin will chose Assad? LOL!!!

    I don't think so.

AboveAlpha..p.s...This whole thing in Syria is a way for Putin to grab a few BARGAINING CHIPS.

For the sake of the Russian economy (for the sake of the own interests in economy), I 100% am sure, Putin wouldn't begin to kill, neither Assad, nor Gaddafi, Hussain,Poroshenko etc. Putin constantly speaks, we want to compete honestly... but - Putin would begin to kill terrorists who it is real, directly, threaten safety of Russia.(for example, Ousama Bin Laden was for the USA)

Obama went to congress around 2013 did he not ? The Armed insurgency started in late 2011 and this insurgency was "Extremist" right from the get go. This is from my own source and from the media. Right away they started cutting off Christian heads and so on.

The whole call to Jihad was to create a Strict Sharia State and it was then that folks started flooding in from other countries.

The Saud (and others) were heavily involved in arming the Salafi's and other Jihadists early on, if not even before the armed insurgency started.

The "covert" program to supply arms to the Jihadists/(rebels) was underway via Libya at least as early as Aug 2012. This was covered by Fox.

    http://theconservativetreehouse.com...ns-provided-by-u-s-and-nato-shipped-to-syria/

There is no, and there never has been, a significant moderate presence in Syria.

The Islamic Extremists in Syria were not a threat to Russia until Putin went into Syria and started bombing them.
