Great to see the bureaucrats at work in Townsville recently, waiting for high tide before they opened
the dam...wouldnt it have been better to release the water at low tide....and perhaps let it out bit by bit earlier....considering that they have access to weather forecasts days and days ahead...
The rain was never going to go away in a few hours....if we can fuk it up in Australia...we will....

    What a disgrace this is.
Over 300 professional golfers, both men and women competing for the ISPA Handa Victoria Golf Open.
Men competing for the mens title and women competing for the womens title all on the same four days. all on the same golf course.
Of course the prizemoney is roughly equal between the men and women, but why is it necessary to have them all playing on the same course over the same four days.
It wouldnt be just to appease the fukin women would it....
I suppose in years to come all the majors and golf tournaments worldwide will be like this...
Can you imagine the US Masters being played at Augusta, Georgia, with 150 men and 150 women
all hitting off on the same day...
What a fukin joke.....out the window goes tradition and in waddles the fukin women.....

Looks like they're going to have an inquiry into the timing of the release of the water...
Not going to help much now, but we can only hope that they dont gloss over the release of the water into a high tide...that sound pretty incompetent to me....

Further to the above...I wonder how many insurance claims are rejected due to "force majeure"
    (the opening of the dam)

Just for the Labor supporters....the following is a list of the Qld Labor Governments sales during the years
    2006 to 2011....
    2006 Allgas 235 million
    2006 SunRetail 1.2 billion
    2007 SunGas 75 million
    2007 Power Direct 1.2 billion
    2007 Golden Casket 530 million
2007 Gas Assets and Enertrade 268 million
    2007 WinderEnergy Assets 460 million
    2008 Brisbane Airport 289 million
2008 Cairns and Mackay Airports 738 million
    2010 Forestry Plantations 600 million
2010 Port of Brisbane 2.1 billion
    2010 QR National 4 billion
2011 Abbot Point Port 1.8 billion
    2011 Qld Motorways 3 billion

Several questions need to be asked...
    Where has the money gone.....
Why then was there a need for the Qld Government to raid super funds not long ago, stating that
there was a surplus...which was bullshit as no super fund has a "surplus"...all the money in the fund is asset growth.......
Was Qld in such a mess that these sales had to go ahead...what does that say for the rest of Australia....
And we pay the salaries of these bastards......
This list only goes to 2011...........

Its crazy wet in southern california. Green with snow now.

But lots of pest rodents and rabbits soon.

But also coyotes, and predators are harder to get.

It seems in Australia, there is no boundary to our cruelty and stupidity....
Seen recently on the Gold Coast:
Two teenage girls (presumably teenagers) standing on their skateboards, having their leashed
dogs pull them along the walkway. As the skateboards moved away from the dogs, they bent at the waist and knees to simulate riding a surfboard to keep the leash tight....
People stared in disgust, but unashamedly, they continued along for about a kilometre....
Certainly hope it doesnt become popular....
I once owned dogs...its bloody cruel.....
