Israel is also the race/people descended from Abraham, via Isaac and Jacob. It is not just a political boundary, and most references in the bible are to the people of Israel, not the geography.

They were just another tribe of Canaanites. There was NO Ur of the Chaldeans at the time of Abraham.

It is history. It is not a scientific textbook.
..so you believe and assert, in your biased opinion.
Lies. The bible is corroborated by archeological, textual, and historical evidence. It is historically accurate, and readers can be confident in BOTH the historical accuracy, and its originality. It has NOT been changed.. that is a prejudicial lie from hostile enemies of Christianity.

Bible (IMO) is one of the greatest works of humanity; along with Classical Greek literature. (i.e. The Iliad, and The Odyssey)

"For more than a thousand years the BIBLE, collectively taken, has gone hand in hand with civilization, science, law --in short, with the moral and intellectual cultivation of the species, always supporting and often leading the way. ~Samuel Taylor Coleridge

They worshipped Canaanite gods and borrowed heavily from Canaanite writings including Psalms.

Neither archaeology nor history support their OT stories.

“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth a war, is much worse. When a people are used as mere human instruments for firing cannon or thrusting bayonets, in the service and for the selfish purposes of a master, such war degrades a people. A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice; a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice, — is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other.”
