You might want to read the Old Testament passages about the Samaritans when you get some spare time and you could gain another view.

exactly, but if Jesus was God, then he was killed (if the story was true)

    That is an intriguing theory!

On a scale of one to five.......
five being strongly agree and one being strongly disagree........

would you say that there is at least some correlation with the idea that the Roman Emperors did not like the explanation for the Gilgul Cycle that Messianic Jews had in the first and second centuries.........

... so the Roman Catholic church killed the early churches teaching on reincarnation..... (or something at least somewhat like the idea of recinarnation as taught in Judaism)?

    www.ThomasTwin.com/

I admit that killing the idea of reincarnation is different from killing G-d but.........

..... once some of the major teachings on the afterlife got hijacked by Rome...... Christianity got to the place where it had amazingly little in common with Rabbinic Judaism.

I didn't have Jesus in mind when I said that, but according to the story Jesus was resurrected so God wasn't killed - part of Him just took a short dirt nap and then woke back up.

he had to be killed to be resurrected, and from what I read, not only was he killed, but his soul was stuck in his dead body for 3 days, not a very powerful God if true

can't say he gave his life for us and at the same time say he did not - if he was just faking dying, that is ok too, but the story doesn't say that and people do not say that

And from what I've read he didn't stay dead and I can see God's still alive but, again, Bible stories have nothing to do with what I said and meant.

well the title is the Church killed God, so talking about killing God does seem to be on topic, and you said a God could not be killed, so I brought up Jesus, which many feel was God and was in fact killed, not saying you believe that

btw, where did you see God, you said you can see he is still alive? I can see the belief in God is still alive....

It's all good, but that's not where I was coming from...

I see God in and all around me every day. I'm conversing with part of Him/Her/It on the Interwebz right now.
