Private health insurance Costs 8% of the average citizens salary. The last time I looked, 8% was 2 and 2/3 times as much. You’re delusional.

 

Easy, the overhead for Medicare is 2% vs 12% for private insurance. Case closed.

This is also a low estimate using modeling more than anything else. I've seem some much larger estimates, but from less reliable sources, like advocacy groups.

 

Yes, thankfully he is here. Nothing will ever be done to prevent the climate from changing. The world would never abide by the things that would need to be done to reverse the damage we did and are doing. With those facts in mind, it's pointless to argue about.

As for govt healthcare, no thanks. We have seen what govt healthcare is when you look at the VA. Why would anyone want a bigger version of that?

I'm quite aware of what "for profit" means. It was illegal in health care until it was heavily subsidized and encouraged by liberal legislation beginning with the HMO Act.

Except that if I paid 8% of my income for private insurance, I would immediately receive a benefit.

Medicare requires me to pay 3% of my lifetime earnings, and a large portion of other Federal taxes, to even qualify to be eligible to receive it.

Then I must pay more taxes, a very high premium, buy supplemental insurance, and still have absolutely zero coverage for the health care I will actually need when I'm old.

It's apparent that you don't know who runs Medicare

 

No one is getting free healthcare.

 

All fake. 3%, that’s it. Everything you say is a promotion for Medicare for all. No one in the world wants our system.
