yes it was. The national guard is an arm of the US military.

No state has their own military. All military units are under the US military.

Militias are not the military. No state has their own military. And all state militias are subject to federal conscription.

We are the single sovereign nation called the United States.[/QUOTE]
As long as they choose to remain a member of the union. Those are the terms of the treaty to which each of the sovereign states acceded.

A state has no choice in the matter. They can’t leave the union unless congress allows it.

A state does not have to abide by federal laws and can leave the Union at anytime if they have the forces to do it.

Its getting tiresome when one refuses to acknowledge what United states means.

every state has to abide by federal law, and no state can leave the union with the approval of congress.

    texas v white.

I agree. But I will continue correcting you until you get it. The US is a single sovereign nation. All states must abide by federal law. No state has their own military. This is all demonstrable reality, and basic 6th grade civics.

Uhm then why can you eat a frog during a frog jumping contest New Hampshire but not in California?

CALIFORNIA: A frog that dies during a frog-jumping contest cannot be eaten.

How come you can sell cat fur legally in Illinois but not in Connecticut?

DELAWARE: It's a misdemeanor to sell, barter, or offer the fur of a domestic dog or cat.

To legally possess firearms or ammunition, Illinois residents must have a Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card, which is issued by the Illinois State Police to any qualified applicant. Non-residents who may legally possess firearms in their home state are exempt from this requirement.

Open Carry is legal. South Dakota is a permitless carry state. Anyone 18 or older who can legally possess a firearm can carry openly or concealed in South Dakota without a permit/license. Places as listed in the “Places Off Limits” above apply to those who open carry.Nov 1, 2019

Yes, which makes up the single sovereign nation called the US.

Because no federal law says anything about eating frogs.

Because there are no federal laws about cat fur.

That's not true. A state can change the legal drinking age from 21 to 18. They just won't get federal benefits if they decide to do so. There are plenty of federal statutes states can go against...the feds will just punish them with funds.

All passports are country-generated with the requirement for identity justification. The passport configuration is detailed here.

France is both a nation and a state. The two words are synonymous in Europe.

For instance, France is called in French, l'Etat de France - "Etat" meaning State.

The French equivalent of the American word "state" is "Province" - and the equivalent of "counties" in French are called "Départements" ...

I believe he thinks because the Nazgûl make a a rule, it is correct and right. Because he thinks might makes right he thinks it is moral.

Must be a bitch compartmentalizing this with the conservative rulings of the Ringwraiths. But like all politicians, their words.mwan little.

done this dance on this topic with you already. I’ve shown you how and why states can’t leave the union, citing Supreme Court precedent which specifically cites the language in the constitution.

No, that's not what that means. It means the states can make their own laws, but lose federal money. Massive difference.

Care to debate the weed laws under the last 4 administrations?

Yet you never showed any language actually from the treaty. Which is awesome for my side.

Federal law trumps state law. Every state that legalized marijuana can have their dispensaries raises by the DEA and the state can do exactly nothing about it.
