This is 2020 and we are still fighting the same fight.

 

No...the slave masters are the ones reminding victim blacks that they are victims so they must vote for the party that will give them things because they are black. If the don't....they ain't black!

 

It does transcend race, that is why we see so many young whites, blacks, hispanics and asians at these uprisings.

First, because conservatives teach unity and opportunity, not tribalism, victimhood and division. Secondly, because you probably don't listen to black conservatives' viewpoints, since you have stereotyped all of them as "bootlickers", instead of having an open mind and seeing them as individual human beings who may have something of value to say.

I listen to some, but most pretty much lose self to be accepted by white conservatives.

Police were responding to calls on July 9 that Cheatum was darting through traffic, leaping onto cars and picking fights in downtown San Diego. According to reports, Cheatum had also threatened officers when the dog was released and bit him.

The GOP could have the black community locked up given the importance of the church in black culture, but in the late 60's they decided they would rather court white racists and they won them big time, but it cost them the north east and the west coast. At one time I observed that not every Republican is a racist, but every racist I knew was a Republican. I now think that still considers themselves a Trump Republican has to be a racist. As John Boerner says there is no longer a Republican party.

 

I was a very young girl in 1966. Civil Rights changed so much in America for the positive in terms of equal rights and equal opportunities for everyone. The change was wonderful for the country. Today, we can choose to see that the fight was won or we can keep fighting the empty and defeated ghost of racism. There are relics and holdouts of hate and anger on both sides. Y'all are getting left in the dust of real progress.

The Democrat Party are still trying to divide and conquer, to reignite a new battle and to continue an emotional chasm between chocolate and vanilla. That chasm no longer exists in rationality, only in hard worn feelings. I can't imagine what their motivation would be. Oh, wait. Yes, I can.

A few broken windows and a couple of burned stores is all that has happened according to you? And no I haven't missed the few white people in the overwhelmingly black crowds, blacks who only make up 14% of the population.

How many cities burning and how many burnings and lootings before it becomes a civil war with a terrorist group trying to force civil change by violence that even has logistics for it's weapons depots?

 

If you think this is a defeated ghost then you really aren't paying attention. Civil Rights did change much in America, but it came with resistance from those who didn't want to see change. Black men being abused and murdered by the police is nothing new in this country and the only way that change is going to come is the same way through laws. See it doesn't matter what is in your mind, when the LAW says you have to do this then you have no choice. You can't change what is in a person's heart, but you can make them follow the law. We keep hearing the same ole song and dance from the right about Democrats wanting to divide and conquer, but most of the racism that is seen in this country comes from republicans. The republican party is what 95% white, but you want to claim that the republican party is the party of inclusion.
