Thanks for posting that. I hadn't heard of Yaron Brook, though it turns out he and I were at the same business college at approximately the same time when they were teaching laissez-faire capitalism versus the collectivist neo-Marxist/communist garbage which colleges are teaching now.
I don't agree with Brook on everything he believes in, but he is a lot closer to the philosophy that the "rights of the individual" (versus the collective) are what made America the world's super power in a very short period of time (though we made some mistakes along the way) than the collective tribalism thinking which has always destroyed great civilizations.
The world will miss freedom and individualism if and when America fails, and the world falls back into its long history of tyranny with only the very-rich and the very-poor, and zero middle-class capitalist opportunities which give the common man an opportunity to build independent wealth. You don't know what you have 'til it's gone.
Klobuchar had just been elected to the Senate when the case hit her desk. She passed it on to the next state official, which is a normal transition of power.
Now do the LEFT wing extremists who are using the George Floyd Protests To Foment Civil War.
It's dangerous times, and the future looks dim.
Now more than ever, humanity needs to think, not rage; needs reason, not blind faith; needs to stand tall for individual rights, not knell before tribal Gods. Now more than ever, free souls need to embrace the ideals of Ayn Rand, not the worn out and broken platitudes and bromides of tribalism. We are blindly stumbling and falling into the hell of a race war.
If Americans truly believe in justice, and want peace, prosperity, and happiness, then they best pick up the ideals of reason, reality, individual rights, capitalism, and beauty, and reject the blind hatred of tribalism.
I didn't. I just saw a post of yours and thought that I'd ask you. I assumed it from what you said in a coronavirus related thread about being against the lockdown protests.
Well I'm certainly not going to be able to get YOU on a double standard, that's for sure! I admire your consistency! Consistency which won't be shared by too many people on the left. You ARE on the left aren't you?
Yeah, I'm not saying that the girl did nothing wrong, just that I don't think it required that action.
That dude could have grabbed her hands and slowly manipulated them into whatever position he wanted to cuff her.
If you want justice, fight for the ideals of Ayn Rand; if you want the unearned, blood, and destruction, fight for the ideas of Al Sharpton. The path you choose is yours to walk, I’ve chosen mine.
Ayn Rand: “Racism is the lowest, most crudely primitive form of collectivism. It is the notion of ascribing moral, social or political significance to a man’s genetic lineage—the notion that a man’s intellectual and characterological traits are produced and transmitted by his internal body chemistry. Which means, in practice, that a man is to be judged, not by his own character and actions, but by the characters and actions of a collective of ancestors.
“A genius is a genius, regardless of the number of morons who belong to the same race—and a moron is a moron, regardless of the number of geniuses who share his racial origin. ”http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/racism.html
Weren't there two of them who pushed him at the same time? Either way, I saw one of the bend down to look at the man but he was told to move on by I assume a superior, who then could be seen making a radio call for assistance. Then later in the video, a member of law enforcement in camouflage can be seen treating the man, probably because they were a medical specialist or something.
~ And we better stop using mainstream media as a source of information. We all need to do our own research to find the facts if we are going to survive this massive push towards totalitarian governments and loss of freedoms ✔
Both Left and Right.
Here's a video from a private cell phone"
Do we really want a civil war? At the moment, we are heading towards one.
If freedom and justice is what the moral seek, it would be wise to remember:
We are not heading toward a race war because each of us wants to be free, we heading there because some of us don't want others to be free-- free to marry who they choose; free to own what they wish, free to reproduce when they want, free to live as they decide.
It is easy to be free, its a lot harder to respect that right of those you disagree with.
~ We may already be in one ! However I do not believe it has much to do with racism. That is a political tool of the radical left and encouraged by the media.
This was terrible. Now do an example of police which have been killed in these protests.
You're in denial, Not my problem. You should read more
No, Asians and Hispanics don't need special treatment. Just Blacks. Think of it as Affirmative Action, applied at the local level. The key idea: only Black policemen should deal with Black suspects. Anyone who doesn't agree with this is a white supremacist/racist.
Police have been killed by human waste thug animals during this unrest. What, you didn't know that?
No. I have worked with and for people on both ends of the political spectrum, but never with people at the extremes or those who reject democracy.
Not easy, and completely impractical. The far-left would use their kafkatrap methods to say that segregating police by race is racist. What they say they want is to "Abolish the police," which goes to your second notion.
No police presence at all is essentially what happened in the cities which told their officers to stand down. Those cities have been hardest hit with destruction and damage from the rioters and looters. I doubt the law-abiding black citizens in mostly-black communities would want to have no police presence. The street gangs who commit the majority of crimes and murders would become the defacto rulers of these neighborhoods and no one would be safe except the gang thugs. The majority would be under mob rule of the minority.
There is however some justification to have black police officers in black neighborhoods (just not 100%), which most cities already do.
Dave Rubin recently interviewed a man who was raised in a broken black family and became a police officer. He does speak of the advantage he had over white officers in being able to speak to blacks from a place of common history of broken families, drugs and crime.
It was stated in the film EMT were coming from behind. Those officers had a job to do and that was lying ahead. I hope this man got the medical treatment he needed and then a trip to jail to await sentencing for interferring with a police action.
Exactly. You couldn't possibly know that by only being exposed to left wing media.
