That's a false relevancy. The coroner can only look at medical evidence to see if it is consistent with theories. The coroner would not really have any way of knowing, by himself, whether it was self defense or not. He's not really an expert in that area. Coroners should NOT get to decide if it was self defense or not. People are making a logical fallacy if they think somehow coroners will "know".
