Whatever's going on in the sports world, voice your opinion (or diss somebody elses opinion!). Just this weekend, there is so much happening:The Euro Cup is starting; The NBA & NHL playoffs are in their stretch run;The French Open is coming to conclusion;"I'll have Another" goes for the Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes on Saturday.
For sports fans, there is always something to talk about. Talk away!!!
(The PGA's U.S. Open is next week. Can Tiger win another Major? I can't wait to find out!:smile::smile:)

I'm not backing off my prediction of a Thunder/Heat NBA Final, but if the Heat are EVER gonna show some heart, tonight would be the right time. I think they are playing for their collective Miami Heat future. If they get eliminated by the Celtics in these playoffs, I suspect the coach will be gone, as well as some major personnel moves. One of the "Big 3" gone? Maybe.

Wow, it is exciting in the world of sports.

I'm flipping between the NBA, NHL, MLB and the women's college softball tournament....while still averaging 7 posts a day here.

I can't get into pro tennis anymore. I have no idea who the players are.

I'm not much into boxing anymore, but the Bradley/Pacquiao fight is this Saturday. From what some guys on the radio were saying, Bradley could be competitive, but couldn't win. Now I have somebody to root for: Go Bradley!

One thing about working evenings is, is that I get to watch some of the sports that's on during the day. I've watched a lot of the French Open. There have been some great matches. I was so happy to see my girl, Maria Sharopova, advance to the Final. If she wins, she'll have a career Grand Slam. She has already reclaimed the No.1 spot. Tomorrow(later today, actually), the men's semis are being played. Also the Euro Cup gets started today. Can't wait!

I don't follow college baseball much, but a question for ya: Did they go back to using wooden bats? I caught a snippet of a highlight & I thought I didn't hear that "ching" of the aluminum bat. Or did I not hear correctly?
I usually don't have much of a rooting interest, 'cause not many East Coast teams make the CWS & those that do, don't last too long. But I do keep an eye on what's going on with the tourney.

The guy gets an unfair rap because what he said at a Pep-Rally ... I mean, isn't a Pep-Rally suppose to be over the top?

Personally, he's don't nothing Illegal and has been a Model Citizen.

All he's doing is playing a Game ... so enjoy the Game.

I always tell people, if you don't like Labron or Basketball, can't you're TV get another channel?

If the Heat Wins Saturday, it's going to be a Great Final Series.

Manny Pacquiao vs Tim Bradley this weekend. Many people are writing Bradley off, but I wouldn't count him out in this fight by any means. I think it's going to be much closer than many people think.

I don't understand how horse racing is even remotely interesting.

I think there is fair & unfair criticism of LBJ. The criticism of the WAY he left Cleveland (not why) is fair. He, & the other 2, put a whole lot of pressure on themselves with there choices & words, & until they deliver a championship, the HEAT(pun) will remain on them. But mostly on LBJ.

The idea is to place money on a horse to make it more interesting. Not unlike football.
I mean c'mon, say it's a Sunday afternoon pro football game between two lousy teams..who cares. Put money on a team and there's a vested interest on the result.

Gambling led to the popularity of football...and horse racing has always had gambling at it's roots.

So very true. Gambling fuels horse racing, but it also fuels many other sports. Just look at the college bowl games. If it wasn't for gambling, virtually nobody would be watching bowl games like the Motor City Bowl & such.

I think betting on a fight between a camel spider vs. a scorpion would be about 100 times more entertaining. Betting on a mindless horse to run a lap around a track the fastest seems, well, boring and a waste of money. I would venture to bet less people bet on real races with humans.

Bummer indeed, it would have been really great to see a triple crown winner. For pete's sake, there hasn't been one since 1978.

Three cheers to Maria Sharapova for winning her first French Open, achieving a career Grand Slam & ascending back to No.1 in the world. A nice two week run I'd say!

I got spoiled as a kid with the 3 Triple Crown winners I witnessed. Quite disappointing that one hasn't been seen since.

Okay, who's favored, the camel spider or the scorpion? I think I'd lay the wood on the scorpion!
Having been at a horse racing track, horses are quite awesome & beautiful to watch run.
