And it will just get worse as banks shut down debt, because they know it will never be repaid. There is more to capitalism then just the top doing whatever they want, using a large state apparatus as their tool of the trade.

No one disagrees about crony capitalism. But let's be honest, the democrats are the party of crony capitalism and these fools at OWS just want a handout. If they were really for the free market they'd be tea partiers.

If our forefathers wanted free trade with foreign nations, they would have implemented it. It is not a new idea. They didn't even want to align with any foreign nations. I see no reason to even claim we are a nation without economic sovereignty.

Here you rail against Obama but again you FAIL to attack him for what was challenged to you: His support by the banking system or his failed economic record. This post was only about Obamacare which has detractors on both sides and it doesn't answer the challenge given to you.

I don't know who you have been debating in the past but when I challenge you to back up what you claim I will read what you claim supports you.

Neither of these posts shows any condemnation of Obama for the banking system or his economic record which is the subject here in this thread.

The factions of capitalism know what they are. Know what they believe, and fight accordingly. I watch leftists say the growth of China is proof of the success of communism in one thread, and then when something wrong is pointed out, scream China isn't a communist country. Leftism is a billion people thinking their leftism is the only true leftism. No matter who is in power, that person wasn't a true leftist "because...because....because....". You will never hear a capitalist say, "that wasn't capitalism, that was Lincolnism, true capitalism has never existed...". Leftism is mush. I am a nationalist capitalist. I believe in protecting the American way of life. To do so means protectionism with underdeveloped nations. They all have protectionism and our companies still sell there, well what they can, as their markets are nothing compared to ours, even in a recession. But I also believe internally of dismantling the FED, the treasury printing our money interest free, the end of the IRS, massive deregulation outside of the basics such as child labor. The market would go from an employers market to an employees market over night. Federal minimum wage would be a joke. People who should be starting their own businesses would be, instead of regulated out of the game in favor of the large firms. Etc., etc. National capitalism is the only option. To believe otherwise is to go with programming over one's own gut instincts. I would give those who fancy themselves leftists a future to which they never dreamed, and those who are men of enterprise, opportunity that could never be matched by slave labor. Sidewalks of gold.

It's like this. Run your nation as a business.

People pay more to get into the nicest hotels, not less than than worst, let alone for free.
Same can be said for country clubs.
Movie houses.
Sporting events.
Concerts.
Etc.

America has the world's greatest market, and people should pay to access it.

Now, anyone who has worked a day in their life knows businesses suffer from a micro managing owner or manager. Yes you want to make sure brand standards are upheld, but other than that, trust your workers to do their job or let them quit or fire them. This should be businesses relationship with the state. Businesses aren't started with the purpose of failing. Let them do their thing and they will boom all on their own. Invent ways to streamline things and satisfy people like those in government could never dream of. Always make the opportunity for more available. Encourage them to do their best. And whatever you do, don't keep them around if they aren't doing their job.

 

Most of those wanna be hippies of OWS hate capitalism. They somehow think they can get 300 million (USA) people to live like a 20 person commune, and they hate anyone with criticism of their goofy ideology. I actually think they have been to one too many Renaissance fairs.

No, they were not arrested. There were more than the photo I showed, but I don't know how many. One woman claimed she was sent to Belview and given drugs. I bet that is what she wanted anyway, a warm bed and to get high. I saw one girl explaining to an interviewer that she hadn't had sex with anyone yet, but her friend had sex under a blanket the night before. Another story I saw they were selling "medical" mariuana. There is no respect for the law or the police.
