Like I said, it's just "sports hate". I have a lifetime of hate built up for the Celtics, Raiders & Yankees(I even have list that goes up to about 15, if you wanna see it). It's not personal. Many players on those franchises would be on my all time team, teams that I would want to go to war with. Larry Bird, Kevin McHale & Dennis Johnson come to mind.
I love how people are talking about the Packers like they were 9-7 and just eeked their way into the playoffs. I also love how now all of a sudden Rodgers is not an elite QB because Matt Flynn stepped in and had a good game against a pretty terrible Detroit pass defense. 15-1, 40 pts average at home and a QB who threw 45 TD's on the year against only six INT's. Oh yeah and they beat four out of the five playoff teams in the NFC. I like our chances against any team left right now.
I think you need to have your head examined! The Saints have NEVER, repeat NEVER, repeat NEVER won a playoff game on the road. Now, you actually think they can beat the 49ers in SF (which wouldn't surprise me much) and the Packers at Lambeau?!
Forget these NFC teams---its the Patriots who will win the super duper bowl over any of them....even while having the worse defense in football; they'll just outscore their opposition. If you can't get a pass rush on Brady he'll simply pick their secondary apart.
Got my New Enagland and Baltimore Tickets off TM yesturday. Patrios side line 20 yard line 10th and End Zone 5th for Baltimore....Flight leavesa @ 4:25PM PST to NYC today!!!
I was offered my boys season tix for this game but he wanted 300 a piece. He really does have premium seats sec 109 but I had to pass. Last few Pats game Ive gone to Ive bought the cheapest seats I could find and just stood in the courtyard near the McDonalds behind the south endzone.
You are gonna freeze your nuts off! Mid-20's for the kickoff, down to the mid-teens before the game ends. No thanks, I'll watch the game somewhere warm!
My playoff picks: Niners +4 over Saints; But I think the Saints will win the game by a FG. Broncos +13.5 over Patriots; Everything points to a New England blowout. Or just about everything. Years ago, when I did gamble, the "obvious" always worried me - "There's no way "such 'n such" team will even get close..." can sometimes be a red flag. But maybe last week was that "such 'n such" moment for Denver. The blueprint for beating the Patriots(as well as the Packers & the Saints) was written when the Giants beat the Bills ('90) & Pats ("07), Run the ball down their throat, not make mistakes & pressure the QB. I think Denver may do just enough to cover, but not nearly enough to win the game. Ravens -7.5 over Texans; Although I think Houston can slide under the number, I don't think they will. Baltimore will not let the Texans run with a lot of success on them, so Yates will have to make plays & I don't think it will happen for him/them. Packers -7.5 over Giants: It breaks my heart to think the the G-Men are gonna lose(as well as the Denver Tebows), but I call it as I see it. No way is Green Bay taking the Giants lightly & I think they'll play with a chip on their shoulder & if it's possible, the Giants may be over confident. In no manner should the Giants be o/c, they ain't good enough. It should all be fun & I'll be yelling my brains out for the Broncos & Giants.
Giants will beat them. Raji talked smack, and now the Giants offensive line is going to be motivated.
Yes, we know. You keep sayin' it, but you haven't come up with any reason why they're gonna win 'cept you're a fan & want them to win. Gimme a reason to believe.
