Again, that's making it someone else's problem. We can't bleat about climate change, yet not change our own behaviour. Doing so is even more of a problem when you consider that these 'large corporations' only exist because we want them to. If we stopped buying, they'd stop making. But we don't, do we? We just expect to keep getting our toys and luxuries, and have them clean up the mess WE created via our demands. It's pathetic.

It just means that those 1.3 million people who were FORCED to work TWO or more jobs will now only have to work ONE JOB instead of two.

Probably because you have NOT done the math.

A new vehicle purchased for $30k and paid off over 5 years then provides at LEAST 5 more years of payment free motoring but that could easily be extended to 15 or 20 years. Even after that period it will still have some residual value. Assuming that it is only owned for 10 years and has a residual value of $10k then the cost of ownership averages just $2k per year.

Compare that to buying a 5 year old 2nd hand vehicle for $15k that MIGHT last another 5 years but it will probably incur all kinds of additional repair costs given that it was unlikely to have been well looked after and maintained. The total cost is now $20k for just 5 years of ownership which works out at $4k per year.

Buying a new vehicle can be cheaper than 2nd hand if you maintain it and keep it for at least 10 years. If you keep it for longer than that then it can be under $2k per year.

Which is unfortunate because not earning living wages is detrimental to ALL of America.

 

It doesn't transfer. It goes out of business and closes its doors.
Creditors do not want to operate a bankrupt business because they could lose all of their money in the process. At least they sometimes get something back as the assets are sold and distributed.

Nah. false. Nothing to do with immigrants. Has to do with the lack of skill. An employer can't pay a person without skills a living wage of
+or- $40,000 to start. A learning wage should be much lower than a living wage.
