Government has the power to fix the Standard of our goalposts. It is a simple cost of living adjustment. And, who cares if business sheds low wage jobs; we need to get rid of them, anyway. Capital must seek gains from efficiency, not Cheap labor in our first world.

Cost of living needs to go up, but damn don't expect it to go as high as some manufacturing jobs while flipping hamburgers. Every job is not to make a living wage. Many are their to bring in extra cash, spending money for school kids.

why do you care; it is a simple adjustment. underpayment has been the norm. that is why, California ranks at the bottom of some studies regarding quality of life.

What you want is for business to pay you a living wage no matter if that job can't support it. You want business to pay you, to make up for a lack of effort on your part to do what you need to do to get a better job.

i prefer to look at it, from the perspective of; if capitalists can Only make it on Cheap labor, they don't deserve to succeed in our first world economy. capital Must seek gains from efficiency, instead.

Quality of life is because the freaking state is going belly up in debt, Taxes and almost everything else is sky high. They are welcoming in dead beats and illegals and that cost money. The state has a pension plan that they can't afford. They owe billions on it and don't have the money to fund it. It is the dumping ground for everyone. People are moving out like crazy.

a simple cost of living adjustment is all that is required; the right wing has nothing but drama and repeal.

The cost of living adjustment must be reasonable. The Left doesn't want that. They want every job to pay a living wage. What better way to clear most of the jobs out of the country, because companies have to compete against other countries making the same product. If they can't they go out of business or leave the country.

social services cost around fourteen dollars an hour, by comparison. fifteen to work is rational. and, why should we care if we lose low wage jobs that have to be subsidized, anyway?

Our First World economy requires Institutional upward pressure on wages.

Capital must seek gains from efficiencies not cheap labor in the first world.

If you drive the price up to $15.00 min.wage everything else has to go up too. So your no better off than you were. The biggest thing it will effect is housing. Buying or renting and even $15.00 an hour isn't going to rent you a one or two room apartment.

the proportion is not as dire as right wing drama, always claims. even the dollar menu won't double, but California's standing on most studies, will.

Obama was in process of getting us out of a recession which was rapidly heading into a depression. The jobs created by industry
during that time were keeping workers employed. The jobs that are being created now are much the same and wages have not increased because the wealthy who got that tax deduction are not giving to the working class. Get real and stop listening to Trump flapping in the breeze. Can you imagine Trump inheriting a great recession? He walked in as the economy was on the upswing and is riding the crest. And it is ok with me that the economy for most well-off Americans is better. I wish that the working class would participate more. And manufacturing began to move here about 10 years ago and has continued for many reasons, one of which
is weaker unions which now allows manufacturers to be competitive and be profitable.

Takes years of preparation for Industry to move out of Europe or China and back to the USA. They don't say that they are coming and then show up the next morning.
That being said, many of these companies decided years ago to return to the USA and are simply pandering to Trump, since Trump needs this kind of support to feed his ego, being the reckless and irrational person that he is. So they are telling him what he wants to know and not what he needs to know and it's understandable. Trump needs to take credit no matter what the truth is because he is the consummate con-man.

The option of quitting and going on unemployment is a great idea if you don't mind your taxes being increased to fund it. And why work if you can sit around all and get paid for it?

That's right, many of the jobs going now are jobs created within. Which only shows when these new plants do get set up, the economy will be that much stronger. The Con man was Obama with a bunch of promises he never kept.

Is your insurance $2,500.00 cheaper? Can you keep your same doctor and plan? Where are those one million shovel ready jobs he said he had if elected? Did he have the most transparent administration of any other? Did he renegotiate NAFTA as he said he would? Did he stop no bid contracts as he said he would? Did he post all bills on the Internet before signing them as he said he would? Did he balance the budget in his first term as he said he would? Did he deport more illegals than any other administration as he said he did? Steel industry myth Obama bought into busted by PolitiFact - NWI Times, etc. Etc Did the steel companies put out as much steel under his administration as they ever did? Did he clear lobbyist out of his administration as he said he would? Did he close Gitmo as he said he would? Did he end the Iraqi war as he said he did? Was ISIS Jr. Varsity as he said they were?

Our current regime is inefficient. We could be lowering our tax burden and improving the efficiency of our economy.

Because, some people like to have more money to spend.

Did Trump give us better, cheaper healthcare instead of no healthcare like we have now? Did he start the infrastructure process as promised? Did Mexico pay for the wall as he promised? Did Trump shore up Social security and Medicare as promised? Did he renegotiate NAFTA or tweak it and follow the plan that was on his desk when he took office? Did he bring in the best minds as advisors as promised, or did he bring in people who would tell him what he wants to hear instead of what he needs to hear? Does Trump know "more than the Generals" as he says he does?
Has he started the process of eliminating the national debt in 8 years as he promised instead of adding to it as he has done?
You are being petty about Obama. He took us out of Iraq as promised and did deport more Illegal immigrants than anyone else. Balance the budget in his first term? No. Is Trump governing like a banana republic autocrat by trying to stifle our free press and attacking personally all those who disagree with him? Trump is out of his depth. He just doesn't know it.

How much does the average one room apartment in California cost right now? I would venture to say $15.00 an hour won't touch one. And if that were min. wage, everything goes up too, including rent. You must realize all jobs weren't ment to supply a living wage but to supplement an income.

we need to shed, low wage jobs regardless.

why blame the poor, if you have no problem subsidizing the rich?

The $15 wage is a learning wage and not an earning wage.

it is a simple cost of living adjustment in favor of Labor.

    Capitalists still benefit.
