Well, when the looters come looting in the name of the masses, time to get Earp to knock’em on their asses. Ayn Rand: “. But a government that initiatesthe employment of force against men who had forced no one, the employment of armed compulsion against disarmed victims, is a nightmare infernal machine designed to annihilate morality: such a government reverses its only moral purpose and switches from the role of protector to the role of man’s deadliest enemy, from the role of policeman to the role of a criminal vested with the right to the wielding of violence against victims deprived of the right of self-defense. Such a government substitutes for morality the following rule of social conduct: you may do whatever you please to your neighbor, provided your gang is bigger than his.” http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/government.html So if the choice is between Earp (America), and a gang of thugs lead by likes Curly Bill Brocius (Maduro), l’ll side with Wyatt—I’ll feel safe having him protect my wallet.
Democracy: Prelude to tyranny, and the enemy of liberty. Capitalism is individualism; democracy is collectivistism in all its glory, Capitalism is each living their life for their own benefit. Democracy is the mob deciding who gets what, how much, and why. It’s the mob with most votes deciding at whom to point the State’s gun. Nope. Democracy is antithetical to capitalism; not synonymous.
You are correct that Democracy and Capitalism sit very unhappily together. In a democracy it is the responsibility of the Government to make sure capitalism does not get so above itself that it turns the State into a Plutocracy where Government answers to the tiny few with the most money and not to those it is supposed to serve. It does this through regulations. Neo Liberalism did away with them so we find our Governments not serving us. In the US I understand you are now seen as a flawed Democracy. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/25/us-is-no-longer-a-full-democracy-eiu-warns.html As far as Liberty as I have said before Neo Liberalism gives only economic Liberty to a few. As it goes on it creates ever less equal societies leading backwards towards another time of feudalism.
The simple solution has always been, and shall always be, separation of state and the economy. Until that day comes, all else is just pseudo-intellectual BS sold to the ignorant.
And Hitler was Chancellor in 1917. So what. Both were socialists, both destroyed the wealth of their nations, and both sent their citizens into the abyss of hell on earth. What's your point? Chavez is a misunderstood altruistic soul? On that we agree, but for opposite reasons.
Where the hell did you get that idea from. Even Adam Smith did not believe in that. As I said it is true as you said that Capitalism and Democracy do not sit easily together. Well you said they did not go together. For you Democracy was the enemy of the freedom you believe you get from what you call Capitalism but what is Neo Liberalism. Capitalism and Democracy can live together and have lived together in a mixed economy but it is the job of Democracy to hold Capitalism in its place so that it dos not gain so strong a hold on the Government that it ends up serving the most wealthy corporate power rather than the people. Last time we got into this situation we went into World Wars. This time we are doing a race between human extinction and returning to Feudalism. Talk of twisted projection. You have admitted you do not want Democracy. Political theorists have been writing for years that we have moved out of democracy due to Governments not keeping a hold on Capitalism and having moved to plutocracy, some have suggested we are now in Despotism and others suggest without question we are moving back to feudalism. Historians point out that our economic situation is very similar to prior to WW2. You are quite content to declare your hatred of democracy and love of allowing just a tiny few freedom through Neo Liberalism but you are unable to be straight about it when faced with what reality. You are all words and no substance.
The US has had a running soap opera for 2 years over "Russian interference in our election", with some in Congress calling it an act of war. Yet all we hear are crickets when the US openly seeks the overthrow of an elected government it doesn't like. The hypocrisy is stunning. Donald Trump on Monday: ‘You’ll lose everything!’ Trump issues ultimatum to Venezuelan military, says all options are open Published time: 18 Feb, 2019 22:33Edited time: 19 Feb, 2019 06:55 President Donald Trump speaks in Miami, Florida, February 18, 2019. © Reuters/ Kevin Lamarque US President Donald Trump warned the Venezuelan military that they are risking their lives and future by supporting President Maduro in a heated speech that left “all options” open to bring democracy in the Latin American country. “We seek a peaceful transition of power, but all options are open,” Trump declared, speaking at Florida International University in Miami on Monday. Directly addressing the Venezuelan soldiers who continue to back President Nicolas Maduro, he gave them the choice of accepting self-proclaimed ‘interim president’ Juan Guaido’s “generous offer of amnesty,” or facing “no safe harbor, no easy exit, and no way out.” https://www.rt.com/news/451781-trump-venezuela-military-risking-lives/ We see quite clearly here that the "rules-based international order" that the US loves to tout is made up of the rules as the US decides. Captain Obvious asks: Why should the international order be dictated by one country? Whatever happened to a law-based international order?
It’s simple: Reason and liberty means capitalism and individual rights, i.e., if it’s freedom, peace, and prosperity that is desired. Otherwise, keep doing the same old, same old, with the same horrid results of poverty, despair, starvation and death squads.
On this the West chose to help him. Canada because it had it's own things it wanted to steal. The EU, I am not sure but now he has decided to go in and massacre them, the EU do seem to be thinking again. It is amazing how either Trump does not know that everyone knows exactly what he is doing or how sick and undemocratic we, the Western people have become to allow this. We would always have expected this of those in power but that so many civilians are supporting this is beyond belief. They have forgotten they also bleed. https://twitter.com/aaronjmate/status/1097601566671015936
I don't see it as the Western countries choosing to help Trump. Rather, it seems like an act of self-castration further confirming their status as poodles for the US.
No, they are not doing that. They are totally off his plan for Iran and totally off any violence against Venezuela. I understand the UK agreeing with Trump as our Government certainly cannot wait to be your registered world lifelong poodle but it isn't looking like that. Some of the hard right seem to support you but apparently not LePenn. (Of course Le Pen's support is from Russia and the far right of Eastern Europe support Trump). I just do not understand why most Western Europe did except it obviously was arranged some time ago as they refused the invitation to be Observers at the election in 2018 that they are now claiming is invalid. I must say another bit of the irony is that Trump is wanting their oil to make a killing - in a very real way as we have recently been told by a very conservative body, I hear the IPPC does not say anything unless all it's scientists agree - and they have said if we want any hope of a future world we have to stop using Fossil Fuel NOW. So Trump is determined to massacre for the right to destroy the Planet.
The Empire has no clothes. From Wikileaks on Twitter: It won't be reported in the corporate media. In the business press maybe.
Trump, who claims to be "restoring democracy" to Venezuela, has just outlawed socialism in the "backyard." Says the ideology will spread like virus. It's the domino theory.
Hey. Maduro supporters. What's up with this? "Fate of American Citgo Executives Held in Venezuela Up In the Air as Maduro’s Regime Plunges Deeper Into Crisis" "The fate of six Citgo executives being held in captivity in Venezuela on what their families say are trumped-up corruption charges could become more clear Wednesday if a preliminary hearing – which has been postponed a dozen times before – actually takes place." https://www.foxnews.com/world/fate-...-as-maduros-regime-plunges-deeper-into-crisis That alone is an act of war.
I have been impressed with him as well... as I am with his Foreign Minister https://twitter.com/GrayzoneProject
