A lot of black people feel that the US government has treated them and especially their ancestors quite badly and therefore have no respect for the flag. I am sure that many of these people relate their feelings to their children. I do not feel that I am in a position to judge the parents or their children as I can not truly relate to their circumstances. People do not get to choose where they are born or which country they are automatically considered citizens of. In my opinion, flag waving and singing anthems is really overrated. I can take it or leave it. I do not consider not pledging allegiance to a flag or standing for an anthem being radicalized.
