As I remember my Uncle to have said about a very different Pledge (the one taken in chapel against booze}, 'Oaths extracted under duress are not binding', even if you stand up. Oaths in general, of course, are one of the few things utterly forbidden to Christians, but I don't suppose they have many of those over there!

 

I watched the video and read the article in the OP. There is no mention of a mother being involved, just the single parent father---who is a Leftist SJW that encouraged his kid to sit during the Pledge. Like all Black SJW's, they are unable to move on from the possibility that some of their Black ancestors were enslaved while under the US Flag. Like all Black SJW's, they do not give one hoot in Hell that millions of their Black brothers and sisters are being enslaved today, while under the Flags of Black Supremacist governments.

The SJW dad, even though a snappy dresser, almost certainly has his (at least) 4 kids on Medicaid and free school lunches. Angry entitlement seekers like the dad and his kid all have the same MO. Prove otherwise.

He'd been doing it for four years in elementary school with NO problem at all. The problem here was a control freak teacher who made this into an issue. I taught in the 1990s, and had kids who wouldn't stand for the Pledge. So what? It didn't cause any disruption at all. I believe in the ideals behind the Pledge, and forcing a kid to stand up while the Pledge is being said is just ridiculous.

 

Well, this was an 11 year old, which means the teacher guaranteed that this kid will never respect the Pledge. If the teacher had followed school board policy (and Michigan law, and the SCOTUS ruling), we wouldn't be talking about this, because the kid would have simply kept doing what he had been doing for 4 years in elementary school (sitting quietly while the Pledge was being said). Instead, the adults made a mountain out of a molehill.

 

That's how we raised our two daughters as well. Straight A, publicly educated students, both are now happy adults with science degrees working productively and professionally in their respective fields.

 

Your complete lack of knowledge as to how the BUSINESS of Hollywood operates is YOUR problem!

Hollywood makes lots of money by producing films that people want to go and see.

For that to happen there needs to be a SCRIPT that tells a COMPELLING STORY that can be made into a movie.

Feel free to write scripts about what YOU want to see made into a movie and submit them to the studios in Hollywood.

It won't be long before YOU become a Hollywood celebrity yourself!
