No if I own one share I am an owner and her and the other Dem plans will effect my retirement fund growth and the income I derive from those funds.

That you do not know the answer to this question - speaks volumes.

Of course I can answer the question. You are the one who stated "Why should the rich bear the cost of other peoples Medicare"

I would not ask such a silly question - as I know why the rich should bear the cost of other peoples Medicare.

Why should "rich" people bear the cost of other peoples Medicare

It is a poorly worded question .. Medicare is paid for by taxes - so people do not pay healthcare directly as your question suggests.

The question is "why should the rich bear the cost of higher taxes" and 2) should we allocate taxes towards healthcare..

So inherent in your question is a conflation of two separate questions. We do not get to choose where our taxes go on an individual basis. Rich people bear higher cost of taxes .. and the higher the healthcare cost - the higher the tax will be - but the same can be said for any service.

someone in a more expensive house pays more property tax .. if they don't have kids why should they pay for schools?
Police - the rich will spend more if we hire more cops. .. Military .. and so on.

So the real question you are asking is if we should allocate tax dollars towards healthcare.
