Yes, they often turn out to have 'mental problems'!! They're hardly ever Islamic jihadists.

What do we do? It's obvious isn't it - kill them before they kill us? No-brainer in my book.

    The suspect Alec Minassian.

It is not just Muslims who do copy cat killings. His history is of being a nutter and obsessed with mass killing.

    Canada's terror threat remains unchanged.

I was talking about the waffle house shooter, not this guy in Canada. Sometimes they are jihadists, sometimes not. The Ft Hood shooter, the San Bernardino shooters, and the Boston Marathon bombers were jihadists. Others are just psychos.

I didn't realise that. I was obviously referring to the Toronto atrocity.

Yeah, I'm not jumping to any conclusions on the Toronto case. We'll find out soon enough.

I doubt the truth will come out unless it's dragged out from the authorities.

Let's look at some facts that we know:
First name: Alek - Greek background - 93% Christian
    Surname : Minassian - Armenian origin - 95% Christian
Education : graduated in Toronto in 2011 - not a refugee from Syrian civil war
Interests : admired a Californian man who killed 6 people who claimed rejection by women
    Alek Minassian : involuntary celebate

But in your great detective work that you spent 10 seconds researching, the logical conclusion from these facts is that he is part of ISIS

And if you view the possible side affects of these drugs, they can be worse than the disease. I believe nearly all of the mass shooters in the US were on some sort of psychotic meds.

I didn't do any research, my conclusion is based entirely on the method of the atrocity, so excuse me for concluding it's a jihadist attack? You apologists are something else! And WTF is an involuntary celebate?

Looks like it is explicitely the case here. Little boy was bullied in school, had no friends, he was merely an facebook account until he decided to "become someone".

    Pathetic, depressing.

PS - Whoops! I just confused him with Alex Bissonette, the Quebec mosque shooter who is receiving his sentence right now. Or was it the naked Waffle House killer? I'm getting coinfused with all these senseless murders.

He clearly is short of a few cards, yes, and it's not even intended as an insult.

The main culprits here are the parents, who gave him back his seized guns. The system almost worked here (as you posted later).

Of course you didn't. Best way to avoid any awkward facts that might challenge your ready made conclusions. And of course anyone who provides information that might contradict that ready made conclusion is an 'apologist', rather than 'informed'. What do you think is the best term for someone who decides what the facts are without doing any research? I'm leaning toward 'prejudiced idiot', though 'ill informed idiot' has a nice ring to it.

I thought that refugees here were rather fleeing extremism... and as pretty much all of Canada's "Islamist terror" acts have been committed by Canadians of no ME origin - i.e. Not Arabic, looks like it holds at least some kernel of truth.

I'll tell you what, bighead - you 'research' previous such attacks then come back and tell me how many you found which weren't terrorist-related. Until you do I'll stay with my conviction that this one was.

I have an even better idea, provide ACTUAL EVIDENCE that this was. That is how these things work, you provide evidence to back up your claims. Of course, that requires effort and the ability to read at late teenage level, so we know that isn't going to happen.

I don't have to prove anything because all I'm claiming is that we have no evidence that he is Muslim or has links to any terrorist group of any sort. The evidence we do have makes him look a lot more like a typical school shooter than a Daesh wannabe, but that is provisional.

Now, run along like a good boy and do some research to back up your claims while the adults discuss adult things.

Yep, just like your conclusion being jihadist attacks in the case of the van that killed people in Munster, Germany a few weeks ago and the car attack in Paris a few months ago where both were carried out by 'Christians'. Even then you claimed that the authorities were lying to you

Muslims are not the problem here, Islamists are. Go and read up on the difference between the two - you obviousy need to!

I'll give you credit here (whether you want it or not) on appreciating the difference

I don't remember ever seeing that claim, so I'll have to look into it. On the other hand, anyone who believes the spin that western governments and press always use to divert the vox pop attention away from what's really going on - the latest being that the assailants were 'mentally ill' - will believe anything.

O dear ... are all the Muslim haters and other similar jerks in the forum now deeply sad that it was clearly not Ali Baba in Jihad who committed the crime here?

If he had access to the guns easily obtainable in the US, many more would have been killed and injured

Sure, because every time a gun is used at least 10 are killed and 15 injured.

How many were killed in Nice again by a truck? Oh yeah, 86 dead and 458 wounded.

Far more than even Las Vegas.
