    Update, 2021-11-017, two days later:

Rank 38 - Austria: 996,320 -3,680 away from the million mark, averaging +12,164 cases per day. Austria's report from today shows +14,416, it's highest daily haul to day and four times higher than 3 weeks ago . Just as predicted, Austria will most definitely jump into the million-zone tomorrow, Thursday, 2021-11-018 and will be the 38th nation on the planet to have done so.

Rank 39 - Hungary: 976,432, -23,568 away from the million mark, averaging +7,630 cases per day. If this average holds, this means that on Saturday or Sunday, Hungary will go over the million mark but because it does not update its statistics on either Saturdays or Sundays, the official total will first come out on Monday, 2021-11-021, making Hungary the 39th nation on the face of the earth to go over the million mark.

And while we are at it, the UK is now -362,810 from the 10,000,000 (TEN MILLION) mark and currently averaging +38,645 cases per day. At this rate, the UK will become the fourth nation on the face of the earth to join the 10,000,000-club in 10 days, on Friday, 2021-11-026. Russia will follow suit in December of this year.

By the end of the day today, that figure was upgraded to +60,753 fresh cases and +248 deaths. The day before, the BRD actually had +299 deaths, so there were less deaths reported today than the day before. However, compared to just three weeks ago, the 7-day rolling average in +deaths in Germany is three times higher.

AUSTRIA EXCEEDED 1,000,000 TOTAL COVID-19 CASES ON 2021-11-018, 38th NATION TO DO SO

Today, Thursday, 2021-11-018, exactly one week after Vietnam joined the million club, Austria also jumped over the 1,000,000 mark in total C19 cases:

    2021-11-018 COVID-19 AUSTRIA 000 - Austria goes over 1,000,000 - closeup.png

    2021-11-018 COVID-19 AUSTRIA 000 - Austria goes over 1,000,000 - worldometer table.png

This happened around 11 AM my time in Germany, but for the closeup and the excel table (below) it is already dated for EOD (End of Day) as Austria only reports once per day and only once in this year has it slightly changed its data at close of day.

    2021-11-018 COVID-19 AUSTRIA 000 - Austria goes over 1,000,000.png

With Austria's entrance into the million-club, that makes for 20 nations that have crossed over the million mark in 2021. The first 18 nations crossed over that line in 2020.

Hungary is up next, currently at 987,199 cases and averaging +7,969 cases per day, which means that Hungary will go over the million-mark during this coming weekend; only, Hungary does not update its stats on Saturdays or Sundays, so I can already project with 100% certainty that Monday, 2021-11-022 will be the day on which Hungary officially becomes the 39th nation to join the million club, unless of course Hungary outdoes itself and scores +13,000 fresh infections tomorrow, 2021-11-019, which I see as unlikely.

    Very, very sobering.

    GERMANY IS IN TROUBLE

I would like to note that yesterday, Wednesday 2021-11-017, Germany accrued almost +61,000 fresh C-19 infections (+60,753, to be exact), the 2nd highest case count for the day, behind the USA and literally twice as many cases as two days before and by far the highest daily +case count bis dato in German's C-19 history . Germany is currently averaging +42,015 new cases per day, which is higher than both the UK and Russia's current averages (+38,437 and +38,206, respectively). This suddenly makes Germany a major contributor to the winter surge of 2021.

See for yourself - over this point in time one month ago (2021-11-017 vs 2021-10-017):

    2021-11-017 COVID-19 GERMANY 000 - special.png

That's TEN TIMES as many +cases on 2021-11-017 over one month before and in the 7-day-rolling averages, that's 4.6 times more +cases and 3.1 times more deaths on the average.

It should also be noted that a huge number of these +cases is among German middle-and-high school students, a very disturbing trend.

My eyes are seeing a drastic reduction in +cases among key eastern European nations that were "burning" as of my reporting at end of Month, October, 2021. Those nations are (and I am referring to the 7-day rolling averages, here):

bold = already reported in complete figures for today, 2021-11-018.

Romania - from +12,300 at EOM October to +3,535 right now
Serbia - from +6,363 at EOM October to +3,452 right now
Bulgaria - from +4,721 at EOM October to +2,675 right now

That's a geographically continuous stretch of the Balkans. Interesting.

However, in the upper eastern European nations, the opposite is happening:
Czechia - from +4,777 at EOM October to +12,466 right now
Poland - from +7,474 at EOM October to +16,712 right now
I don't have the three baltic nations (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) in my tracking yet, however, I am pretty sure that they are doing what their neighbors are doing.

Whilst in Russia, Ukraine and Belaruß, the figures have barely budged.

The pandemic has now moved to western Europe, with Austria having cleared the 1,000,000-bar today and Hungary well on it's way.

    In central/western Europe:
Germany - from +18,840 at EOM October to +42,015 right now
Austria - from +4,625 at EOM October to +12,616 right now
Hungary - from +2,799 at EOM October to +7,969 right now (and that is with Hungary just barely testing, mind you)
Belgium - from +6,898 at EOM October to +11,393 right now
Netherlands - from +7,070 at EOM October to +17,970 right now
Switzerland - from +1,450 at EOM October to +4,276 right now (Switzerland will likely clear the 1,000,000-bar early in December)
Italy - from +4,397 at EOM October to +8,350 right now
France - from +5,858 at EOM October to +12,417 right now
Spain - from +1,916 at EOM October to +4,171 right now
Portugal - from +767 at EOM October to +1,803 right now

And as a pendant to Russia, the figures have stayed almost exactly the same in the UK.

The good news I am (hopefully) seeing is that if the wave in the lower balkans is fizzling out this quickly (where it started earlier and where far fewer are vaccinated), then it may also fizzle out just as quickly in western Europe.

As this week is coming soon to a close:

-Brazil has now sprung over 22,000,000 total C-19 cases
-Germany is now just a hair's breadth away from 100,000 total C-19 deaths, will become the 14th nation on earth to accrue more than 100,000 C-19 fatalities.
-The UK is sailing quickly toward the 10,000,000 club in C-19 cases, will be the 4th nation on earth to join that unlucky club.

-Hungary now sits at 998,488 total C19 cases, has been there since Friday and will stay there until the newest stats are posted on Monday, 2021-11-022. Hungary does not update its C19 stats on Saturdays or Sundays, so I can say with 100% certainty that on Monday, 2021-11-022, Hungary will be the 39th nation on Earth to join the unlucky million-club in C-19 infections.

Austria is now on hard lockdown.
Germany is debating whether or not to do likewise.
The Benelux nations have been declared as high risk, no travel zones.

That being said, as I wrote yesterday, we are seeing evidence of the Delta+ wave ebbing in a number of balkan countries and when you calculate the total length of the wave, it looks like no more than 6 weeks, so Central and Western Europe could maybe be out of this by New Years. Wait and see.

My sister pointed out that, regardless of mortality rates which are not very high with the Delta variant (around ‘only’ double that of the regular flu, I think), government leaders should point to the high infection and hospitalization rates of Delta among the un-vaccinated, which is responsible for stressing the hospital system.

So the issue of “freedom” becomes more clearly highlighted against the well-being of overworked hospital staff and the delay of urgent non-covid surgery, for the entire the population.

Then the “freedom” wankers could be more easily exposed by all levels and stripes of governments, for the greedy twits the anti-vaxxers are.

But not those who are sick of lock-downs (like all of us); the Federal govt. removed financial support too soon for people who are particularly badly affected (financially) from government-decreed lock-downs…because of the faulty mainstream narrative around government debt and deficits.

Unfortunately the two issues have become conflated, in general protests about “freedom”; initially government had no choice but to lock-down the community at the start of the pandemic, when mortality rates were high and no vaccine was available, but the problem now is the antivaxxers who are responsible for burdening the hospital system, and overworking the staff we all rely on for timely treatment of non-covid illnesses.

Worldwide and 'dreadnaught' nations from 5,000,000 COVID-19 cases upwards

THE SIG-FILE EXCEL TRACKING CURRENTLY ENCOMPASSES WORLDWIDE FIGURES + 50 NATIONS
Currently, the figures for worldwide composite figures and 12 of the 50 tracked nations are published here as screenshots on a weekly basis.

    +52,687 weekly deaths // rolling 7-day avg = 7,527 = 5.2 new deaths every minute, tendency: rising

50-NATION TRACKING: USA, BRAZIL, UK & AUSTRIA EXCEEDED THE NEXT MILLION MARK LAST WEEK

AUSTRIA EXCEEDED 1,000,000 TOTAL CONFIRMED C-19 CASES ON 2021-11-018, 38th NATION TO DO SO
HUNGARY WILL EXCEED 1,000,000 TOTAL C-19 CASES ON 2021-11-022, WILL BE 39th NATION

FOR THE OTHER MAJOR RUBRIK CHANGES DURING THIS TIME, SEE RUBRIK TABLE BELOW
    -----------------------------------------
My eyes are seeing an abation of the wave in Eastern Europe but a strong rise in Central and Western Europe and other regions as well. There is a statistically significant uptake in +cases in Hungary, Austria, the Netherlands and Germany. The USA is once again on the rise as well, a disturbing sign.

UK & Russia are all but guaranteed to break over 10,000,000 total confirmed Covid-19 cases by year's end; Turkey may as well.

HUNGARY EXCEEDED 1,000,000 TOTAL COVID-19 CASES ON 2021-11-022, 39th NATION TO DO SO

Today, Monday, 2021-11-022, Hungary jumped over the 1,000,000 mark in total C19 cases:

    2021-11-022 COVID-19 HUNGARY 000 - goes over 1,000,000 - worldometer closeup.png

    2021-11-022 COVID-19 HUNGARY 000 - goes over 1,000,000 - worldometer.png

This happened in the morning my time in Germany, but for the excel table (below) it is already dated for EOD (End of Day) as Hungary only reports once per day and does not change its data.

    2021-11-022 COVID-19 HUNGARY 000 - goes over 1,000,000 - excel table.png

With Hungary's entrance into the million-club, that makes for 21 nations that have crossed over the million mark in 2021. The first 18 nations crossed over that line in 2020.

Technically, Kazakhstan, Cuba and Morocco are up next to cross the line, but their Covid-19 flow has slowed to a bare trickle, as is also the case for Nepal, UAE and Tunisia farther on down the 50-nation line. More likely than not, Switzerland is up next, followed about 8-10 days later by Jordan, perhaps also by Greece around the same time, which would bring us to 42 nations over the 1,000,000-hurdle as of the end of the year 2021. But then again, Georgia could have a suddens surge and also appear in the million club.

    Very, very sobering.

Today, 2021-11-023, by the end of the day, Germany will very likely exceed 100,000 total Covid-19 deaths, It current stand at 99,954. Germany will be the 14th nation on earth to have reached this gruesome marker.

GERMANY EXCEEDS 100,000 TOTAL CONFIRMED COVID-19 DEATHS, 14th NATION ON EARTH TO PASS THIS MARKER

A number of things happened on Thursday, 2021-11-025:

-Our world exceeded 260,000,000 total confirmed Covid-19 cases.
-The UK exceeded 10,000,000 total confirmed Covid-19 cases, making it the 4th nation on earth to join the 10-million club, after the USA, Brazil and India.
-Germany just exceeded a record-shattering +75,000 fresh C-19 infections in one day for the second day in a row, having advanced +150,000 cases in just two days. That's almost as much as Germany advanced in the ENTIRE month of August, 2021. And for the first time ever, on 2021-11-025, Germany lead all nations of the world, including the USA, in +cases, an ominous sign.

-The USA will exceed 49,000,000 total confirmed Covid-19 cases today, 2021-11-026.

-Switzerland has picked up the pace more than I though it would, it is (not including today's figures, they are not in yet) now just over 25,000 away from the million line and averaging +5,611 cases per day. With five more days left in the month, if Switzerland maintains this pace, then at EOM November 2021, it will become the 40th nation on Earth to surpass the million-barrier.

-Cases are on the extreme rise in Slovakia, a nation in my pre-tracking. Slovakia is very likely to even overtake Bulgaria in the official tracking, but I will keep Bulgaria in sight as two nations with just over 700,000 cases have slowed to almost nothing in plus cases and are practically guaranteed to fall out of the tracking in December: UAE and Tunisia.

They are talking about a new South African variant. WHO numbered it Omicron.
Apparently not much is known about it but borders against African travellers are snapping shut like mousetraps.

Today is Saturday, 2021-11-027. As of EOD yesterday, the USA stands at 799,138 Covid-19 deaths, 862 away from 800,000. The USA is likely to break over 800,000 by the end of the weekend, Monday at the very latest. 800,000 is very close to the entire population of Charlotte, NC, for the sake of context.

SWITZERLAND EXCEEDED 1,000,000 TOTAL COVID-19 CASES ON 2021-11-029, 40th NATION TO DO SO

Today, Monday, 2021-11-029, as predicted, Switzerland jumped over the 1,000,000 mark in total C19 cases:

    2021-11-029 COVID-19 SWITZERLAND 000 - goes over 1,000,000 - close up.png

    2021-11-029 COVID-19 SWITZERLAND 000 - goes over 1,000,000 - worldometer.png

The Swiss values for today may change ever so slightly by tomorrow, but for now:

    2021-11-029 COVID-19 SWITZERLAND 000 - goes over 1,000,000 - excel table.png

With Switzerland's entrance into the million-club, that makes for 22 nations that have crossed over the million mark in 2021. The first 18 nations crossed over that line in 2020.

This also makes for 4 nations to have broken the million-barrier in the month of November, 2021: Vietnam, Austria, Hungary and now, Switzerland.

Technically, Kazakhstan, Cuba and Morocco are up next to cross the line, but their Covid-19 flow has slowed to a bare trickle, as is also the case for Nepal, UAE and Tunisia farther on down the 50-nation line. More likely than not, Jordan is up next, followed shortly thereafter by Greece, which would bring us to 42 nations over the 1,000,000-hurdle as of the end of the year 2021. But then again, Georgia could have a suddens surge and also appear in the million club.

    Very, very sobering.

Analysis tables for EOM (End of Month) November 2021, 2021-11-030

(UTC +0, Greenwich = 20:00 UTC -5, East Coast of the USA), Part 1 of 5:
Worldwide and and top 50 nations (split into five postings)

    READ!
The end-of-month analyses are pretty intensive and take time to do well. Here the schedule:

-the following five postings are the screenshots of the Worldwide figures and the top 50 nations. Additionally, 4 nations are currently in pre-tracking but not in these five postings: Slovakia, Croatia, Belarus and Azerbaijan.

The Worldwide excel table figures will not be posted here as they will receive an individual analysis. Instead, a screenshot (2 pages) of the preliminary Worldwide figures from WorldOMeter plus the 50 nations currently being tracked will be posted as proof of the veracity of the data.

-Tomorrow, on 2021-12-002, I will then publish the end-analysis for the Worldwide figures for 2020-11-030. WorldOMeter has a "2 days ago" function at its main table, which allows us to wait one more day to see the final numbers. The advantage to this is that nations that may be adjusting their total figures will have one more day to do so. The worldwide analysis will be quite extensive, with the new luxury table I have been using having been expanded not only to include the 7-day rolling averages in +cases and +deaths but also the monthly +case and +death averages, for better context. The new probability table for the tracked nations currently under 1,000,000 cases, which I added some months back, will be continued.

I've eliminated a lot of extra text in these five postings. If you want to see where the virus has grown or receded, then take a good look at the monthly + numbers (+cases and +deaths over EOM of the month before), at columns P and Q in row three for EOM this month and in row 34 for EOM of the month before. The exact growth rates will be calculated on a separate table, as always.

    So, let's get started.

    WORLDWIDE:
The Worldwide EOM analysis for will be published on 2021-12-002

    For in the meantime:

    STAT'S EXCEL-TABLE:
    2021-11-030 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 000.png

The "fire" that started in the baltics, the balkans and the caucasus in October has now fully spread to central and western Europe within November, with 3 of the 4 nations that jumped over the million-mark being in central/western Europe. The 2nd half of November saw Germany, the most populous nation in Europe, get hit hard by its 4th wave, reaching +70,000 or more cases at least 4 times in the last 7 days. Germany now has the 2nd highest daily +case average in the world, behind the USA. Europe is now bracing for a much harder wave than we saw one year ago.

November 2021 also saw the detection of the "Omicron" variant of the virus, first reported to the public in South Africa. Right now, info on this variant is too sparse to be making any judgements or even editorial comments.

This is the final monthly Covid-19 worldwide analysis on my part. After the End of Year analyses for 2021, I am moving to a new system in 2022, involving 2 quarterly analyses and analyses at half-year and full-year. More on this soon.

    Ye Olde Tracking Tree:

In February 2021, I developed the tracking tree (based on the idea of an ancestral family tree design). Here is how the tracking tree looks right now:

    2021-11-030 COVID-19 EOM NOV Tracking tree.png

The tracking tree is a good way to get a quick and reliable overview of the situation at hand without getting deep down into the weeds with too much numerical minutae.

    The 4-Rubriks Worksheet:

The other weeks from this month can be found with each weekly concise analysis.

The top 50 nations (all in my current tracking) within the worldwide figures:

Here the screenshots of the excel tables for 50 top nations nations alongside the worldwide figures today can be found in the pre-analysis reports:
    EOM Pre-analysis tables, Part 1 for 2021-11-030, posted 2021-12-001, 18:08 UTC +1, #13845.
    EOM Pre-analysis tables, Part 2 for 2021-11-030, posted 2021-12-001, 18:12 UTC +1, #13846.
    EOM Pre-analysis tables, Part 3 for 2021-11-030, posted 2021-12-001, 18:16 UTC +1, #13847.
    EOM Pre-analysis tables, Part 4 for 2021-11-030, posted 2021-12-001, 18:19 UTC +1, #13848.
    EOM Pre-analysis tables, Part 5 for 2021-11-030, posted 2021-12-001, 18:23 UTC +1, #13849.
There were small changes in the totals for Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Czechia, Poland, Italy, UK and USA since those screenshots were published.

The USA, updated - here the final values for my homeland:

The remaining 5 screenshots are at the overflow link at the top of the analysis.

Always searching to build a better and quicker mousetrap, here's a better overview of this stuff:

The calculated monthly average daily cases and deaths can also be compared to the 7-day rolling average from the final 7 days of the month. This can assist you in seeing where C-19 is accelerating or slowing down going into the next month. For example, Germany is an extremely crass case of how this is helpful. Germany's monthly +case average was +41,080, but the average for the last 7-days is +58,353, a huge jump compared to the flow of the entire month.

There are some countries where Covid-19 appears to have dried up: Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Cuba, Morocco, UAE and Tunisia, also to some degree in India and Brazil.

But in most places, numerous variants of the virus are raging, plain and simple.

THE TRACKED NATIONS UNDER THE 1,000,000-MARK, HOW CLOSE TO 1,000,000?

As of and including December 1st, 2021, there are/were 31 days left in the year 2021.

I created a new table in July for the nations that I am tracking under the 1,000,000 mark to see which of them, based on their current 7-day-rolling average, will cross over the 1,000,000-case milestone within these last 122 days. The four nations currently in my pre-tracking are also in these calculations.

Rows 2-7 of this table are sort of a primer for us all, to get a good ballpark view of what a nation at each of those round C-19 case totals would have to suffer in order to go over 1,000,000 cases.

First, sorted by total cases, descending:

    2021-11-030 COVID-19 Worldwide millions club 001.png

And the more logical sort is by number of days at this current rate until each of those underdeck nations reach 1,000,000:

    2021-11-030 COVID-19 Worldwide millions club 002.png

The long and short of this is that the numbers, if they hold as they are now, point to 2-3 nations I am currently either tracking or pre-tracking that are going to cross the 1,000,000 case threshhold.

    WORLDWIDE TOTAL STATISTICS BY CONTINENT:
All of the WorldOMeter screenshots of the continental data are at the overflow link at the top of the analysis. Here is the distillation of the top-line data for the continents:

    2021-11-030 COVID-19 Worldwide continental 001.png

And next we can see a statistical monthly compare, sorted in descending order by growth rate:

    2021-11-030 COVID-19 Worldwide continental 002.png

We see incontrovertable evidence of a major wave having now fully hit the rest of Europe.
