What is tiresome is folks whining about players disrespecting the flag when they are doing no such thing.

I'll say it again for those who were in a coma for the last 8 years:

    If I had a son

    The police acted stupidly

    Stay the course

According to Forbes Trump tried to force a merger with the NFL in 1984 and got crushed.. This is more spite and seeking the center of attention.

Disrespecting those who died to preserve their right to disrespect the flag - is that what is tiresome ??

What are they protesting ?? Why do they not actually do something to address those problems they are protesting such as school choice and vouchers which would enable low income children to obtain a quality education ?? If only our elected officials would support that ?? Oh wait - Donald Trump and Betsy DeVoss are.

Trump is trying to take revenge on the NFL when they crushed him in 1984. He bought the Generals and tried to force them into a merger.

I have a very good understanding of what a lib prog is. I deal with them every day. They can't handle the truth and lash out when confronted.

Only ~ 1000 seats left to go. Good luck to the party of goodness who has done absolutely nothing for the people they profess to love and defend.

I support a President with economic growth policies. The R's in the Congress who have put their own wacko selfish ideas of perfection as the enemy of getting rid of the economic disasters passed by the D's should be ashamed of themselves.

That's what is tiresome is folks like you claiming to be so patriotic and you have so much respect for veterans and blah, blah, blah, but you elected a man who had multiple deferments which was a denial of doing his duty to fight with those of whom you claim you have so much respect for. He also attacked on of those whom you claim to have so much respect for, a man who was a POW and spent his adult life serving this great nation.

    Injustice.

How do you know they are not?

Really, then why aren't they changing anything. Please show us all the improvements they have done for the public school system.

Really? The rest of America was mostly against Kapernick until yesterday. Most still are. The NFL is just showing itself to be like all the others. PC destruction. Not all the players.

Most have no problem standing. Was at a baseball game a few weeks ago. EVERYONE stood. This is all a joke.

Not a peep from these players protesting all the deaths in the inner cities. Naaaah. Let’s protest the country instead. Like SSM. Amazing how quickly people ceased being homophobes when it was politely expedient.

Indeed. The Left cannot locate an organized Alt-Right and so they simply make up lies. The Right on the other hand can easily point at ANTIFA, which is on television all the time and very definitely represents the true ideals of the radical and increasingly violent . . . Left.

Today, before their game with the Buffalo Bills, thirty-two of what used to be "my" Denver Broncos refused to stand for the National Anthem. I had not noticed this because CBS did not show the National Anthem being played (no surprise).

Fine. Now, as far as this former Broncos fan is concerned, all thirty-two of these rotten, America-hating crudballs and their coach, Vance Joseph, (who said he "had their back") can go STRAIGHT TO HELL, and stay there for as long as this spiteful, arrogant, idiotic nonsense continues. BTW, to everyone's surprise, the Bills kicked the Broncos' ASS, 26 - 16... (it was supposed to be a fairly easy Broncos win).

Now, as far as I'm concerned, it's just about to be ICE HOCKEY SEASON! :clapping: Bring on the Colorado Avalanche! :cheerleader:

The attack on Trump for the comments on McCain was a smear. Please review all that was said.

What injustice ?? If it's education related who is saying it ??

They have not articulated as much but instead attack the President and Sec Ed who can do something to correct the problem.

By implementing school choice and school vouchers all educational providers will improve via competition for students. Basic stuff.

But all this clearly illustrates Trump Derangement Syndrome and ignores the real problems facing low income minorities the most basic being the lack of educational opportunities to develop the human capital required for economic success. This is the tactic of the party of goodness and it's disgusting.

Its not hard. He is suggesting that what one does during a song at a sports event is not nearly as important or defining of priorities, as what one does when one's number is called, to serve his country for years.

One might require some real sacrifice, while the other is about whether to kneel or stand for three minutes.

I have never worked in a job where I was allowed to engage in a political protest while "on the clock." I suspect this is true for most of us. Therefore, what I and others expect is that the NFL owners to do what most employers do and that is prohibit political activities by their employees while employees are working/performing/playing. The employees can protest on their own time at their own location(s). Football is a business of providing people with entertainment. Political protest is in general not entertaining and protests that disrespect the American flag and anthem are not entertaining to most people. If players insist on conducting these protests during games, then start to fire the players as Trump suggested. Believe me, after a few of these premadonnas are fired, the protests will stop. Sure after "you're fired" is heard once or twice there will be howls of outrage. But so what? Will they all quit? I think not. Keeping it real only goes so far. As things stand now the NFL is to some degree damaged and the damage could (I hope) spiral out of control. Then again, maybe the average football fan is too mentally addicted to the game to get it up. Time will tell. And to add a final comment the employer (NFL owners) have a monopoly. There is no need whatsoever for them to kowtow to players.

Trump attacked McCain by implying that McCain was not a war hero. That McCain is only considered a war hero by others because he was captured.

I fail to see how the national anthem qualifies as "on the clock" for the NFL players simply because they are on camera.

He is a President, who took and Oath to defend the US Constitution, part of which is the Freedom of Speech. So NO, he cannot express his opinion in such a manner. He isn't citizen Trump.
