LOL....that's what I thought. You disrespect the flag and anthem but expect other to honor it. Hypocrisy at its finest.

There are numerous reasons for that and its not because of NFL protest.

    Probably.

Post a few of those surveys for us.

I don't believe its a stunt, do you think these guys are just doing this for shits and giggles.

The Justice System is nothing more than institutionalized racism.

Of course there is, just like there were negative effects when black folks got the right to vote, buy a home, join a union, etc.

Why do you feel the need to compare him to any of those folks? Kap is his own man who felt the need to do what he thought was a voice against injustice.

I am pretty sure you do. I also don't believe you would have supported Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Jack Johnson or anyone else for that matter that you felt didn't stay in their place.

Do you think professional players should have the same rights that you have?

I have. Trump did not demean McCain. The totality of the discussion from which the quote you've intellectually dishonestly cherry picked shows that.

There are many black men who didn't commit a crime and had to deal with the Justice System because they were just the black man that looked like a black man who may have committed a crime.

Your posts show you don't have a clue and are totally out of touch with what you think you know when in reality you don't know ****.

NFL owners have the right to protect their product and income. NFL players have the same rights. NFL players disrespecting the flag should be suspended.

How many ?? What percentage of black people in prison are there because of being wrongly accused and convicted ?? Name some of these people ?? Crime in the black community occurs at a much higher rate. That explains the disparate outcome of the prison population.

It's too bad you and conservative ilks can't understand the role of a President and the Constitution. A President is supposed to defend its value, but Trump is clearly isn't. What do you think of his advocating of players being fired for exercising their freedom of speech??

Doesn't pretty much everyone of every race claim they are innocent, LOL? Maybe Superbad will come back and tell us 100% of them are wrongly accused -- you know, cuz they said so. And Michael Brown had his hands up too.....

When used as an auxiliary verb, shall, according to Webster's Online Dictionary, denotes a requirement that is mandatory

On the other hand, should “denotes a guideline or recommendation whenever noncompliance with the specification is permissible.

How are the players disrespecting the flag?

When the national anthem is played do you stand up in your living room?

Now post the entire dialog. Here's a synopsis from Sharyl Atkissonn.

Yes - and this is identity politics. And why the D's lost the election and over 1000 governance seats.

    The "flag" is a metaphor.

    Here is the full exchange:

Trump: "(McCain) insulted me and he insulted everybody in that room. And I said somebody should run against John McCain, who has been, in my opinion, not so hot. And I supported him for president. I raised $1 million for him. That’s a lot of money. I supported him, he lost, he let us down. But he lost and I never liked him much after that 'cause I don’t like losers. But, but — Frank, Frank, let me get to it.

    Luntz: "He’s a war hero. He’s a war hero …"

    Trump: "He’s not a war hero ..."

    Luntz: "He’s war hero."

Trump: "He is a war hero ..."

Luntz: "Five and half years in a Vietnamese prison camp …"

Trump: "He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured. So he’s a war hero …"

Luntz: "Do you agree with that?"

Trump: "He’s a war hero, because he was captured, okay? I believe, perhaps, he’s a war hero. But right now he said some very bad things about a lot of people. So what I said is John McCain, I disagree with him that these people aren’t crazy."

So Trump starts saying "he's not a war hero", then sarcastically says "he's a war hero because he was captured", then ends with "I believe, perhaps, he's a war hero." So there's a clear contradiction between beginning and end. Why do you think that is?

That's not the full exchange. Trump (regardless of how you sarcastically spin it) truly believes that McCain is a war hero.

I have never said that the NFL and the team owners can't fire these players if they wanted to. The crux of the matter is the President should NOT inject himself in this discussion essentially encouraging the team owners to do so, all the while using his dirty mouth to insult. As the defender of the Constitution, he is negligent of his duty. He should at least be censure for his idiocy in speech and on Twitter.

So why does he start with "He's not a war hero"? Feel free to quote the larger context that changes the impression of his words.
