For sure. The world is pissed at having their sovereignty usurped and rightly so. Just wait and see what happens when China starts arresting US CEO's on the basis of some "Trumped up" charge - pardon the pun. Some have accused the Huawei corp of "spying" - on the basis of their electronic equipment. What about the Iphone ??? Smart TV's and so on. Should every US executive related to that technology be arrested ? This is friggen loopy.

The problem is that we have a corrupt political system - as in the Establishment - which includes elite bureaucrats. politicians and the big money interests that dictate and/or influence foreign and domestic policy.

Canadians are aliens, by the very definition of the word. Trump didn't do that, the english language did.

Can you explain the difference between a verb, an adjective, and a noun?

Yes, and they wield money and dangle privilege in front of about 10% of society.

    I can.

Can you explain why the executive branch of our govt would need to be inclusive of people in other nations?

Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic,
regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.

Okay first the only thing I've heard Trump say about it was that he didn't know about before hand. Given the level of animus between DOJ and Trump this wouldn't be surprising. Why this would upset Canada I don't know. They should be upset a China for arresting two innocent Canadians and once again demonstrating that they do not play by international rules.

I'm not the one who writes ransom notes as forum posts.

Should Canada have cooperated with the us? Probably not. But they can fix the problem Lard Bucket created by having the judge let her go.

Sounds nice, but the Bloviator undermined our position by saying he might intervene to let Meng go. Canada's foreign minister is headed to Washington to talk with Pompeo. We'll know more soon.

This is not a joke LM - the propaganda state is serious about what they are doing. Do you think the Shareholders of Google and Facebook are happy about having to put out hundreds of millions of dollars to engage in censorship ? Of course not.

It was not for nothing that in 2013 it became legal for our intelligence agencies to create and disseminate propaganda on US citizens.

The intelligence budget, including the "dark project" fund is roughly 130 Billion/year. This is roughly double the entire federal spend of Mexico - and Mexico is 11th in the world in terms of purchasing power.

Have you not noticed how warped the MSM has become ? They are part of the state propaganda machine.

The CEO wasn't arrested. His daughter was. She was in Canada taking part in illegal activities and was arrested. She is a criminal and should be treated as such. Her father's company is a company in name only. They are really a bunch of government agents posing as a corporation so they can easily infiltrate foreign nations on the guise of creating jobs. His daughter was rightfully charged with felony fraud, and the Chinese framing two innocent people in retaliations for one of the SPIES being arrested is just disgusting.

Huawei is the largest telecommunications manufacturer in the world. Clearly you have been misinformed.

We're seeing a long-term trend accelerated by computer technology. Google and Facebook have made, and continue to make, a lot of money off business interests promoting their political views. I have zero sympathy for them.
Ever thus and evolving into plutocracy apologists.

I have no sympathy either. "Plutocracy" :) I call it the Oligopoly-Bureaucracy Fusion Monster.

I had a chuckle today hearing Chris Mathews - or perhaps some other schmuck feigning horror over Trump engaging in "pay to play" - as he is unaware that this is how our system runs.

MIght is essentially Trump Trying to keep negotiations on trade going which is in everyone's best interest. And might also implies might not. And after those two Canadian Citizens were taken might not would be my thinking.

the warant is for her, not the corporation. She's the one accused of fraud.
As for spying, you're doing the false equivalency schtick. Doesn't work with me.
