So, why did Trump undercut Canada by saying he might let Meng off the hook? Canada should let Meng go and retaliate against China by suspending Huawei access to the Canadian market.

Liberals like Matthews are Plutocrat toadies. They help keep the fiction alive that liberals are somehow untainted by corporate ties.

First you claim that Huawei is akin to shell company that does not produce anything - a preposterously nonsensical falsehood given they are the largest telecommunications company in the world.

Then you make claims in relation to her arrest without giving any evidence. They you accuse me of false equivalency without giving any evidence of that.

Then you deny that Hauwei is the largest telecommunications company when 2 minutes on google will confirm this.

and you expect to be taken seriously ?

I have serious doubts that they would have.

They are all plutocrat toadies because that is who they work for - literally. These media conglomerates are owned by the Plutocrat's who dictate content ... or rather - the content that is "verboten".

    https://alethonews.com/2018/04/23/msnbc-where-journalism-goes-to-die/

This is just one small example. God forbid someone wants to challenge the main line Establishment narrative of the day such as:

"Iran the #1 state sponsor of terrorism" ... as opposed to Saudi Arabia
"we are the arming and supporting the good guys in Syria" .... Al Qaeda and ISIS were the one's we were arming and supporting.

    and so on.

??? Are you all right? I never claimed they were a shell company...
You can spend 5 minute looking up what the warrant was about instead of writting nonsence on this board.
They sure as hell ain't the biggest telecom company if so many countries ban their products outright. Here they don't even rank 4th place.
That's like saying Apple is the biggest computer company because it's the richest... Quite silly really.

And BTW, if you're judging your worth by the level of seriousness people take your post on an obscure web forum, you're the one with the problems not me. So keep those silly games for someone else, they're not going to work with me.

Don't blame me for your lack of ability to use Google.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huawei

Then you claim to have some knowledge of the details of the case.

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/11/business/huawei-cfo-arrest-details/index.html

Somehow the media does not know any details of the case yet your claims infer that you have such knowledge. Give me a break.

We see Trump touting Chinese promises to buy U.S. farm products, essentislly cutting out other countries. How is that in Canada's interest?

Wunderboy Trudeau may have to take a tough stand with both China and the U.S. to keep his job in the Canadian federal election in ten months.

This is totally false, doesn't anyone follow the news? Meng was not "taking part in illegal activities in Canada" this is bullsh*t and you should know better. She was in transit to Mexico, she flew into Vancouver from the far east on Cathay Pacific and was scheduled to get on another flight to Mexico. During the 12 hour layover US authorities requested she be arrested and held for extradition to the US to face justice. Canada had no choice but to comply, given the extradition treaty between the countries. The process proceeds in the Canadian justice system to determine whether the US has a valid reason for the extradition request. In other words Meng won't be handed over just because the US says so.

And this is where Trump goes off the rails and puts Canada and the US in crazytown. The idiot actually stated he'd consider using Meng as a bargaining chip in trade negotiations with China, thereby politicizing the whole mess....and giving Canada a reason to let her go. I can see her defense counsel in Canadian court using Trump's own words to show this whole thing is political - and therefore a no/no as far as Canadian law is concerned. Trump's words also put many other Canadians and Americans in China at risk. Unbelievably stupid and no wonder the Dept. of Justice is trying to walk this back....

Don't blame me for not giving a ****.

And we don't give a **** either as we aren't using their crappy spyware filled crap.

The MEDIA HERE have been talking about it every day since it happened, silly. The PM, his ministers, the opositions party leaders, all have been in the media commenting on it. That you can't comprehend yet that we in CANADA know more about this than YOU is quite telling.

It is true that apple is full of spyware - I agree that this is a problem.

Since you have not presented any evidence of your claims - what then are they worth ? Demonization of the messenger/ ad hom - is not an argument for much.

Some idiot in so-called "intelligence" tell you that? It is more likely that the new Attorney General of New Idiot (I mean York) of "We want to investigate anyone in his orbit" extortion fame, kind of people, issued the arrest warrant because she's probably guilty, some times it is not extortion, she's probably guilty, China knows it, Trump knows they know it, which is why China is kidnapping people, because they need something to trade beside Fair Trade, and since I was little we have traded things for things, and only a blithering idiot would think trading things for things is NEW.

Absolutely. They make $$$ by dividing up people and keeping the focus off them and all the money they're hauling in.

Do you think Canadians give a sh!t if Democrats blame Trump "no matter what Trump does?" What do you have to say to Canadians about Trump making them look like chumps carrying our water? And why should Canadians care about unilateral U.S. sanctions?

Canad should let Meng go after China releases the two Canadians they grabbed.

Regardless of what Canada thinks about Trump, they are obligated to arrest someone who has an outstanding arrest warrant.

A wiser government would have warned Meng Wanzhou to stay away

    :flagcanada: screwed up.

    Nothing new here, move along.

Hopefully, China will deliver a lesson to :flagcanada:
    Someone needs to do so.
Sadly, Ms. Meng Wanzhou has been inconvenienced to say the least.
Probably, terrified to suddenly lose her freedom in the land of the UnFree.
Hoping China demands an apology and financial compensation for her troubles.

Typical "Ugly American" response. They do have something we need--water. They should send us a signal about water to Americans like you...

Yes, and now they should cite Trump's comment and refuse extradition to this country.
